Canada is refusing to issue ISBNs to books primarily generated with AI. This illustrates both the urgency of the problem of the growing flood of slop books, and also the toothlessness of addressing it on the honor system without there also being consequences for lying

Use of artificial intelligence
By registering with ISBN Canada, you declare that your book was created by a human author. You may use AI tools only for limited support tasks, such as brainstorming ideas, checking grammar, or formatting your book. You must not use AI to generate the text, create the artwork, or translate the book. ISBN Canada does not issue ISBNs for works whose content is primarily generated by AI. LAC is currently reviewing its policy regarding the use of AI content creation and our guidance is subject to change.

Listen, I hate when I start a PS1 post on PS4/5 and start seeing a achievements pop. While I appreciate devs leading breadcrumbs to the hidden stuff they made, I had way more fun just playing until I felt like I was done.

The plot is good enough to eventually play again, just not immediately. There are only a handful of characters that matter, but they all react to the choices you made in the game. The time mechanic works really well.

The Blood of Dawnwalker: 8.5/10 If someone told you it's a cross between Blade and Witcher 3, you'd have a good start. The combat was different enough to be engaging, but got old without much enemy variety (even though it makes sense with the plot).

For me the easiest mental palate cleanser for music has always been Bon Jovi's Shot through the heart. It overwrites everything and is still easy to forget.

I can restart Witcher 3. I can start Demon Souls I can start the Mass Effect trilogy I can replay Dawnwalker for a different playthrough. I can continue my FFVII OG playthrough. Any opinions out there?

So I'm about to finish The Blood of Dawnwalker (prob tomorrow) and I'm at loss for what to play next. I've nearly finished all my list for the year, but everything left to play are loooong games. I forgot I ordered FF Resonant, so that'll arrive in a few weeks.

Eye popping. Court just unsealed Summary Judgment motions in New York Times v OpenAI / Microsoft. Easy to see why the AI companies had so many redactions (pink). Their own people wrote the lede for NYT, the "largest theft of labor in human history"... "more and more substitutive..." /1

That being said, I absolutely love living during the gaming epoch where he is active because he tends to elevate the production of anything that shares tools he uses (like the Decima engine between Death Stranding and the Horizon series). We all benefit from his efforts (Geoff K fanclub aside)

So here's my dichotomy - I don't like any Kojima games. Never found them interesting enough to even finish a trailer.

Did someone set up a batphone that connects to the other room where staffers pretend to be various countries/organizations/resistances?

Stellar Blade DLC: They're not huge, but the Nier connection is nice. The added Nikke missions were OK I guess. More importantly they were flawless in how they were added. Stellar Blade is still a very well made game.

Here's what to expect after the Supreme Court's ruling yesterday related to the Trump administration's plan to try to restrict mail voting in the midterms. Efforts to either block the plan or implement it before November will now progress rapidly, sources tell @propublica.org 🧵

No, but I'm glad all the attention is on GTA6 so there's less leaks of other games (Dawnwalker, Songs of the Past, etc).

Got inspired to play Dragon Age Origins, so I downloaded it from GOG. Pretty big sign because I'm I'm not a PC gamer.
