Not sure why financing local schools has to be local. Why shouldn’t a school in urban or suburban Boston be financed the same way a school in Worcester is.

Fascinating article. I was in college at the time and a republican, and honestly didn’t realize how pervasive the nuclear theme was on mtv (and I watched it all the time), even though I remember every video you mentioned. Did you ever have students watch WarGames?

1st 2 years in a frat. Then off campus.

And tbh, my parents helped me, to the extent they could, financially, but they weren’t paying my tuition or room and board.

Also spent every summer at Iowa City (where U of I is). Never went home for summer. I think voting there was appropriate. Really depends on the specific circumstances.

So, when I went to college, Iowa, I definitely remember registering my car in Johnson county. But my parents lived in Lynn county, about 30 miles north. And they were not paying for my college expenses. Grants and loans. I voted in Johnson county. Was that wrong?
