Palace have hired investment banking firm Raine Group as they seek investment in the club at a £900million valuation Any investment would likely go in part towards funding the redevelopment of Selhurst Park which chairman Steve Parish told The Athletic last week was not yet fully funded. #CPFC

I think it's that they want a return on investment and that is more readily achievable by spreading the cost beyond the four general partners. Johnson buying out Eagle was a last ditch hope of getting Europa League more than a strategic plan.

Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.

There are people who, at least I believe appear to, have good critical thinking skills, who still follow, engage and repost aggregators. If those people are doing it then we're done, it's lost. Eventually this will have genuine consequences for original creators

Matt Woosnam @mattwoosie.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
This is specific to the football ones but the 'news' ones just deliberately post stuff out of context for maximum engagement and incitement. Someone should do a study on the impact of social media aggregators (content thieves) in shaping real-world opinion and driving conversation/narratives

Matt Woosnam @mattwoosie.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
I see the aggregators have a new tactic. Take a popular line from a piece and ask a vague generic question to get engagement which in turn gives them money from X and takes away from the original source. It's shameless and pathetic of course and there are never any consequences.

The Pino one really didn't work. Perhaps because it was new (for it to be played over the PA) but whether amusing or not, Mateta's one actually works. See also QPR's goal music which is simple, seems popular, everyone knows it and it is impactful and works imo.

Well yeah. I'm talking about people like Tony Pulis saying they were denied the chance to parade the FA Cup around Stoke. Well they weren't. That's not how it works.

Not in any way excusing Manchester City breaking the rules but you can't just substitute in the clubs who either finished second in the Premier League or the cups and say they missed out on their day etc. No guarantee the situation would have been the same, the cumulative impact as well

Cool. Maybe they can do something about the fact they're strewn across pavements for pedestrians Outside London Bridge the other day was ridiculou No accountability from individuals, the company, councils or politicians for taking away public space. Also discriminates against disabled people.

Horrific and shameless from Kuenssberg. This isn't about doing journalism and simply interrogating a Prime Minister, it's slanted with a misleading narrative and an attempt at a simple, 'gotcha', rather than trying to understand a policy. It's not good, objective journalism. But that's Lk

I see a lot of people complaining about the undoubtedly stressful conditions at present on London's roads. But I see few people complaining about motor vehicles. Yet in the last 24 hours three vulnerable road users have died after being hit by people driving motor vehicles.

I imagine there was a contract which would have had penalty clauses in it if not fulfilled. But he's more saying that whatever they did would have been difficult because of the fact most of the players were still away. I'd say it's less criticism of Como Cup & more reflecting reality of situation

Of course. Anyone saying that after five PL games needs to calm down. After 10 it will be time for Sage to consider whether there's something that needs changing potentially but atm that's unnecessary for sure

Pretty sure it took Munoz a while to adapt too and even Glasner said it. Plus even at the end he wasn't *amazing* defensively

Matt Woosnam @mattwoosie.bsky.social · 21/09/2026
Yeah defensively he is very much a work in progress but I think he'll get there. Keep seeing a stat about his tackles and recoveries and him being the best defender in the PL because he's top. That's a stat you don't want to be leading in!

Thought he was badly exposed at times by Khalaili though. That's not sustainable, need Khalaili to be better defensively and not leave so much space or swap Richards for someone quicker

Hard not to feel far more encouraged by that performance. Yes there were a few scary moments defensively but a much more balanced performance overall. Created some good opportunities / some slick play in attack and in general looked solid enough at the back. Building blocks #CPFC

It's also not a very good pass to Sarr. Too weak/slow and not into his path properly. If the pass had been perfect then maybe he gets there first before the defender nicks it away from him, but the shot was the better option #CPFC

A huge chance for Palace to win it as Wharton clips a pass over the top of the Leeds defence. Nketiah races onto it and chooses to square it to Sarr who is crowded out. Felt to me like he should have taken the shot #CPFC
