I find your piece quite puzzling. I can't understand the actual criticism here. So you are saying that if a white person is trying to do something good and trying to put forth ideas to bring about positive change then it is white supremacism and white saviourism? Does that mean that all good work and all new ideas should now come from non white people only? That is a ludicrous idea. Also, I can't understand your objection to getting the best minds in the world to focus on solving big problems that face us. If charities get even more brilliant individuals, who could augment what they already do, then how is it a bad thing? And why is it bad if capitalism benefits good organisations that think about the betterment of the whole society than lining pockets of the mega rich and the powerful?

Thank you so much for this. For a job I just had to translate an interview with Bregman into German - and he seemed to simplify so many things, well, actually everything. What he said about Europe needing to build tons of data centers ("of their own") was really disturbing. He seemed to have an almost child-like belief in technology. I didn't understand why people would be taking that guy so seriously - have to admit that I once liked his book "humankind".
Keep up the good work and thanks again - you made me feel less alone.

Leveling Up Projects with AI

We don't just use AI to make briefing easier. Our vetted teams use it thoughtfully to deliver better work. When Bayer needed an internal launch video for 85,000 employees, they didn't have time for a traditional production process.

An EqualReach team developed the concept, scripted it from Bayer's existing materials, and used an AI avatar tool (created by a Palestinian technologist) to deliver natural narration without needing a recording session with the Bayer team.

The results:

- Delivered on schedule

- Saved dozens of hours of Bayer's internal time

- Required ~85% less internal effort than a typical production cycle

"Straightforward briefing process. Good matching for project partners. Quick and helpful support throughout, and a very pleasant collab."
-Juliana Hagan, Global Digital Marketing Manager, Radiology, Bayer

That project started with a brief. Yours can too.The Social lmpact
Behind every deliverable is a data point that matters beyond the dashboard. When you source through EqualReach, the numbers tell two stories at once.

One of the penalties of an ecological education is that one lives alone in a world of wounds. Much of the damage inflicted on land is quite invisible to laymen. A slightly "unhinged" looking comment I might have left, when responding to someone who is (fairly, IMO) calling me out on my blog. I openly admit to hypocritical, paradoxical behaviours. I am a search marketer (!) and I am very openly anti-capitalist (!!) […] [Original post on mastodon.social]
Thank you very much for your suggestions. However, there seems to me to be a contradiction in your profile in relation to what you promote. You claim to want to help sustainable brands but at the same time you offer unsustainable Google to help businesses (the Google Ads Grant). Another point I wish to make is that growing any business is unstainable, just be sufficient (see Thomas Piketty and other members of the team World Inequality Lab activity report 2025).

Thanks Corrie, I am open about my hypocrisy - it really depends how far you want to take this, but as an example here are a few other points you can flag about me:
- I live in a concrete house (concrete production as an industry being one of the biggest emitters of carbon)
- I own a diesel car which I reluctantly use when required
- I have a mortgage with a local bank - probably funding all sorts of terrible things around the world.
- I buy food from my local supermarket, sourced from farms in the south of Spain that could be labelled as environmental criminals, due to the theft of water from local reservoirs and so on.

I could go on with this list - and these feelings inspired my (newish) blog called "Capitalism Made Me Do It". It's the idea that we do things that we don't really want to do, but feel forced, due to the nature of capitalism.

I offer the Google Ads grant service to help charities (the same charity sector which I have also critiqued elsewhere as being capitalist entities that never fix the problem they claim to solve) simply as it's a way I can survive in a capitalist world without feeling too guilty about exploiting people or planet. I am working on an article about how Google are greenwashing through the Ads Grant program.

I also propose my work aimed at "sustainable businesses" is itself a paradox as you say. But I use it as a term to try and deflect from clearly unsustainable businesses from reaching out (I was tired of having enquiries from very exploitative industries and hoped that this "positioning" would prevent those from reaching out). So I use it as a label to TRY and attract people who care about people and planet. Sometimes it doesn't work though.

I have thoughts on Thomas Piketty (which are probably best saved for another time!) but I genuinely appreciate that you are flagging this with me here. I am on board with your critique. And longer term I would like to find a job that has meaning and purpose 🙂

As we continue investing in the next stage of our growth, we're currently selecting a small number of agency partners to support the next phase of our Meta growth.
Our focus is on strengthening brand awareness, acquiring high-intent customers, and scaling profitable growth. Our initial Meta media investment is expected to be approximately £150,000 per month, with scope for further investment as performance and business priorities evolve.
We're looking for a partner with deep Meta expertise, a strong commercial mindset, and proven experience helping established consumer and fashion brands grow.
As we've been learning more about your agency, we believe there could be a strong alignment between your expertise and the type of long-term partnership we're looking to build.
If you feel there could be a good fit, we'd be delighted to continue the conversation by email, where we can share more about the opportunity, our priorities, and how we envision working together.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,"

Unpopular opinion? Cloudflare is part of the Big Tech machine and is used as a form of surveillance for imperialist actors across much of the web, hiding under the pretence of providing "security". Agree? Disagree? Don't know/don't care? 🤔
