☀️ Midwest weather is unpredictable but somewhat shockingly we have an incredible set of fall days for SRP (°F):

⛳️ If you want to get some swings in at SRP, Top Golf is about a 20-min drive northeast of town, near IKEA 🛋️

🌰🏈 SRP attendees know OSU plays at home against Maryland Saturday at 4:15 so traffic will be busy from like noon to 4:00 and bars in the Short North and around campus will be busy all night. But if you want to watch the game with some of the Lunatic Fringe, you’ll likely see cool things like this:

🎤 2 big shows happening the weekend of SRP: 🎸 Saturday: Interpol at KEMBA Live! outdoors, 13-min walk west of the hotel 🎧 Sunday: DJ Shadow celebrates 30 years of Endtroducing… at the Bluestone, a 6-min Uber east of the hotel

🧵 Restaurants and spots to check out near the SRP conference hotel (except Saturday night after the OSU football game) 🥘 Rooh - pricey but rich and flavorful Indian, 15 min walk north on High St maps.app.goo.gl/NbATGksrwqZ9...

The SRP conference hotel is closest to the Arena District (named for the hockey, baseball, & soccer stadiums clustered together to the west) But a 15 min walk north on High St delivers you into the Short North - the part of town with tons of restaurants and shops from the Hyatt to about King Ave

Columbus has all kinds of towns and neighborhoods, apparently because the city required the farther-out locales to incorporate into the city to get access to water. It means if you go 10 min north of OSU’s campus, you run into a quaint downtown of Worthington

If you're considering Ohio State's clinical psych program for grad school, you've probably already seen that we're requiring GRE scores this year, so don't forget to factor that into your plans! I'm hoping to take 1-2 students this year ☝️✌️

If you missed her at ABCT, SCP, and NASSPD, *now*’s your chance to catch Layla Wahaidi at #APS26BCN! She looked at which values were most important to BPD Compass patients at baseline & how the strength of the alignment between values & behaviors changed over time + with BPD symptoms 👀 Poster 23!

Happening *now* at #APS26BCN! Maya Deutch (poster 131) found that: - Patients in BPD Compass who used skills more frequently reported more severe symptoms BUT - When patients used skills more effectively than normal, this uniquely predicted session-to-session reductions in BPD symptoms

This is the horror cherry on top of the egregious fraud, waste, and abuse sundae. DOGE fired the people who send NIH money to research labs—which is a complicated process—so now even more labs are going to go under. All while Jay Bhattacharya goes on a podcast and says no NIH funding was cut.
