I had to block the Sophie person, she was irrational. But I did buy it used and a while before Musk's extremism came to the fore. Tesla do still make money from me (via supercharging), but this has nothing to do with Musk being an arse.

The world really doesn't think that love. You need to calm down.

Cars are not football shirt, the car is not a statement of political support, it's a utilitarian object to get you from A to B. I hate Musk and his policies and I hope he jets off to Mars and dies there. Clear enough?

What would scrapping a car with at least another 300,000 miles of driving actually achieve?

Don't worry they turned up in a BMW... (tweets the guy who drives a Tesla which has trumped both of those as the world's most hated semi luxury car brand.)

Can't wait for your kids fess 'My dad insists on telling the same 3 stories at all family gatherings. It's clear he invented them as they contain preposterous levels of detail, but we humour him and laugh because that's what families do'.

Just one more step to go, which is the editor changing his title to Barista and AI taking over the editing.

Went to see Odyssey in 70mm IMAX this evening as a birthday treat. Stunning to see the film this way, visually it is amazing but the sound, dang, it nearly burst my eardrums.

It's actually the revenge of that MS Office paperclip thing that used to popup and say 'I see you are writing a letter, I can help you'. The paperclip got mad we laughed at it and dismissed it, so it mutated and is now going to come back and kill us all.

Big news from Labour Conference: the PM has announced the government's plan to scrap first past the post. Seats that match votes would change British politics for good, but only if it happens. I've added my name. Join me? action.electoral-reform.org.uk/page/201578/...

The PM used his big speech to promise to fix Westminster's broken voting system.
We've heard promises before. I've signed to make sure this one is kept. It takes 30 seconds

Some people have jumped the conclusion that I am somehow heartless in my approach to people whose pets have died and wish to keep pictorial evidence of their erstwhile furry friend. I say I am the victim of daguerrotyping.

Get a grip of yourself, it's a load of knockabout humour on Bluesky. If the dude was that cut up about his dog dying you think his way of coping with it would be sending in anonymous fesses, ones which invite exactly the responses I have given.

Plus people on the left know that's a racing certainty that left policies will not actually be implemented, even the rhetoric says they will. Left voters know that Santa Claus is not real, right voters get their presents down the chimney on a regular basis.

Or maybe take a photo of the dog when it was alive. But I guess cameras are really hard to come by these days, very advanced technology which would need a specialist operator.

I think they closed the road not because people were destroying their engines but because crowds gathered and people were speeding through for content and somebody could easily have been ksid

Trump is too stupid to see how his pettiness looks to the rest of the world. His maturity is stuck at around the age of a 7 year old boy (a 7 year old who is emotionally damaged, some 7 year old boys have way more empathy than him).

The first one would have been taken from some demolished tenements on Haigh St/ Salisbury St. The church in the background is St Francis Xavier. Recognised it instantly as I used to ring the bells there in late 80s, early 90s.

Maybe, but when the reboot of Worzel Gummidge gets commissioned by Netflix he'll be a shoe-in for the lead role. Rachel Reeves as Aunt Sally of course.

Frankie Boyle’s conference roundup: Labour’s haunted tennis ball and the Slytherin chancellor
At this year’s party conferences, the Lib Dems looked like a cargo cult, Labour was saddled with a listener, not a leader – and the Tories were happy to bung equality on the pyre

Yes, but we are good mates with the Ukranians and they have the best drones in the world and every reason to share this tech with us. In 10 years time I think reliance on US systems will be a thing of the past.

Europeans are not going to visit the USA if this is how you treat people and to be honest we are disgusted with your government and ICE. You helped us fight the nazis in WWII (for which are v grateful), but then you turned into them!

This sounds a lot like it will play out in the UK with Farage and Reform. One charismatic (to some, most think he's an arse) leader trying to push things further and further right until people just say 'nope, not on our watch'.

Probably not bored, probably thinking intensely about the match which has to happen when you are playing Kasparov. But he was probably restless and wanted to break the intensity. You could call it gamemanship, but I think he is too young and innocent to intend this.

With the state of the Russian armed forces, Finland alone would finish Russia off in about 3 weeks. The rest of NATO could just hold their coat..... Putin has strengthened the EU (Canada likely to come on board) and stremgthened NATO. He's a loser and he'll be out of a window in 2027

I don't think that Trump can process art (music, literature, theatre, film, architecture, painting etc) at all. He just lacks the emotional intelligence to connect to it at all, so he seeks out superficial world views because that is all he has. Gold = rich, therefore make everything gold!

Everything Trump touches turns to shit. Some people thought that the USA was too big for this, but turns out is a universal rule.

Medical experts think that it is 'confabulation' which is when the person with fronto temporal dementia invents entirely new memories to cover the gaps they have. They 100% believe the stories they are telling, which is why the lies are so convincing. If only there was some amendment they could use

It was a great film, I nearly started crying when the Coyote back story was revealed in the court room and we saw his vulnerable side. Nearly crying over a rudimentary one-dimensional cartoon. That's very good film making in any one's book.
