Did I kind of forget about Bluesky (and most other social media, if I'm being honest) for a minute. Yes I did. Did I make a post-rock instrumental thing a somewhat recently, that I haven't shared? Also yes. youtu.be/8E3jgbJrNZU?...

IT'S A YULE TIDE!!! - I've decided to try something different. I've put my two surfy Xmas mashups into an album on Bandcamp, but plan to add to it over the years as I make more for future holidays. Like a slow, perpetual album. fmatthewburns.bandcamp.com/album/its-a-... #surfrock #ChristmasMusic

I know I haven't posted any new music, this year. I just haven't been in the mood for.. reasons. *gestures broadly* I'm finally back at it! I hope to have something to share very soon. Also, it's hard to record vocals when your kids are home all day for the summer.

As a "xennial" who was a kid before the internet blew up, this video puts a finger on things I've been feeling for some time, regarding how we interact with social media and the overall internet, these days. It's not a scientific study, but I think it's worth further consideration.

The best thing about my new cozy lofi release, "Fuzzy Socks", is that it isn't holiday-specific. You can listen to it anytime your toes need warming. #lofi #cozy #fuzzysocks #originalmusic youtu.be/KniYcUo0Eh4?...

The secret weapon is one of those old Fender tube reverb tanks in front of the amp. I don't have one of those, so I make due with an IR capture of one. 😅 Other than that, a scooped-mids guitar tone. Honestly, if you can use it for metal, it will probably work for surf. Just add too much reverb.
