I think part of the reason I'm thinking this is like... I watched something on Giten the other day, but also like smt 1 has such a unique setting for a SNES game. Can't think of too many that go full post apocalyptic, especially midway through from a modern-day setting

The SNES, PS1, and GBA/iOS versions all have it fade to white when they hit, which i think makes seeing the annihilated post-apocalyptic wasteland afterwards more effective but obviously thats slower burn than outright showing it in action.
