Impressed by Ulm's Maurice Krattenmacher. Smart player and good decision making. Tormented Hanover at times. #bundesliga2

Looking for an alternative Christmas film and grew up in 1980s/early 1990s? 8-Bit Christmas is perfect. All the 'John Hughes' Midwest references, Nintendo, bloody good soundtrack of great English bands and funny poignant ending.

Looking forward to the Challenge Cup draw. More of an old-school feel about the format for 2025. Exciting as it makes the season feel closer to returning.

"He plays the game so well, I'm enjoying down sitting watching him more than I am playing," the late Terry Griffiths on Jimmy White in 1984. Great player and sportsman the Welshman. RIP Terry.

Paige is made for the NRLW. Can't wait to see her in action. Great for the development of our elite players. Hopefully Super League and St Helens can find new talent to replace her and continue the journey. www.parra eels.com.au/news/2024/11/28/paige-travis-signs-with-the-parramatta-eels/

Absolutely loving James Martin Spanish Adventures. Best series since Keith Floyd's Floyd on Spain. No expat chats. Genuine Spanish cooks and guests. The food is outstanding. Just brilliant.

Folk struggling to pick between Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo never saw Nigel Clough in his pomp. Or John Robertson for that matter.

Only found out today after many years of singing it aloud that it's "Nigel isn't outspoken..." rather than "Nigel is a nice boy and..." in #XTC 'Making Plans For Nigel'. What an outstanding record that is as well. So much going on musically. Simply magnificent.

Can't knock @hullkrofficial.bsky.social for their Netherlands '88 inspired gear to tee up the Amsterdam Challenge next year against York Knights. Great marketing idea.

Just watched a lovely Stanley Cup history documentary from the 1993 centenary season on YouTube. Would welcome any other random documentary recommendations - whatever platform - but especially retro. Thank you! This was it: youtu.be/6ip4fJu935o?...

Disappointed for Steve Cooper. If he was going to get sacked by Leicester you'd have thought they'd be floundering but they're not. Life is tough for newly promoted teams. Hope he gets a new job soon and at least know I can cheer his achievements. Quite hard to wish Leicester well as a Forest fan...

Excellent Bye Round podcast by James Graham and Josh Hodgson. Some brilliant points and absolute common sense. Love the fact Hodgson is so excited about being a good mentor to young players. You'd love to play for him.

Really enjoyed the Boston Red Sox documentary on Netflix. Where they ended their drought in 2004. I mean, it wasn't quite Forest winning the European Cup two years out of the second division or Featherstone beating Hull in 1983/Sheffield beating Wigan 1998 but it was still an achievement.

Found a rugby league link during recent trip to Malta's War Museum in Valletta. The bell from HMS Indomitable which later ferried - via the city - Great Britain to Australia for the 1946 Tour.

Nice win for @englandrlofficial.bsky.social Wheelchair in Nantes. Really pleased for the debutants too - Jason Owen, Tristan Norfolk and Chris Haynes - eye-catching in particular. Ireland faced tough one versus France B but will be better for the work-out. All eyes on Saturday now...
