Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 30/09/2026A harsher punishment for Man City is a transfer embargo plus 40 points deduction for every season they were found guilty for making access to Europe more or less impossible... Defacto strips their squad and no Europe. More pain than pushing them to League 2 where they'd romp each league 130
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 30/09/2026We've heard from loads of people in recent days about Man City. Who would I love to hear from? Randy Lerner. Martin O'Neill. 360

Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I don't tend to agree Gabby Agbonlahor much but I have to admit but he's on the money with his rant on Talksport surrounding Man City pinching our best players in that era. #AVFC 070
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Are we good at football again? Begrudging this international break. 250

Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 19/09/2026That technique from Jackson is outrageous by the way 070
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 19/09/202629 seconds into the Millwall/West Ham derby and a huge crunching tackle goes in. Love to see it 👏 010
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 19/09/2026They're horrible sorry...they could've been so nice but no... 210
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I'm convinced nobody wears that Sandbanks gear unless you're a Football Pundit or Manager 010
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Going to have to be a double screen setup for tomorrow lunchtime isn't it? Villa/Spurs on the big screen and Millwall/West Ham on the tablet Lovely stuff. 020
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 17/09/2026That Sunderland penalty decision from last night has to be one of the worst I've ever seen. AZ should've had a free kick the opposite way, it's so bad 110
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Watching the highlights from last night this morning.... Why is Jack Woodward back on commentary? 🥱 #AVFC 110
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Positive performance tonight. Professional job. Mbaye looks unbelievable. Harwood-Bellis confident on the ball. What's one of the biggest positives? The signs of growing camaraderie in the group. 👏 #AVFC 2160
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Brilliant goal. Lovely ball from Hemmings. Cool finish from Tammy, that's him just where he should be playing off that last man. 060
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 12/09/2026At my mom's for this one so had to improvise for my setup with whatever I could find not bad considering my mic issues last time with a proper setup 😂 280
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Making sense of that one was a challenge I'll admit. Give it a watch or listen I would highly recommend it. #AVFC 050
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 12/09/2026What even happened? Saw the tackle go in when he looked to be at full speed but was tricky to tell? 110
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 12/09/2026McGinn looks like a captain bearing the brunt of the weight of the world on his shoulders. Feel for him. Big transition and the lynchpin of it all. It'll come. #AVFC 1111
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Good showing overall tonight. Happy to see Gomes a lot more settled. Pau imperious and such a key figurehead for our attack let alone defence. Hemmings will get his goal soon enough. Game plan well executed with a few tough moments well handled. Positive signs. Sterner tests to come. #AVFC 1180
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 08/09/2026AWB has been great going forwards so far but so shaky against their attack. 011
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 08/09/2026That's a beautiful goal. Responses don't get much better than that. 0100
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 08/09/2026And THAT is why Pau Torres should be starting every game he can. The difference he makes. #AVFC 070
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 05/09/2026McGinn and Buendia's chances are inexcusable. Both should be buried. 2100
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Painful second half. Terrible composure. Final ball was awful. Too many stray passes between players who have been here long enough to do better. Mings should be nowhere near this team. Cash spent the game in reverse. Two stonewall pens. Think it'll click against Forest. #AVFC 220
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Ten substitutions yet we've got 3 minutes added time? 😂 140
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Mings is painful to watch. Great leader to have still around but oh my he's so far off it. Totally disruptive to how we want to play football. 220
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 05/09/2026That first half then... Missing a finishing touch. Surprised no review on McBurnie's elbow. One of the worst throw in calls I've seen in a long time. Mings days look numbered, just not good enough. Get why he has started but restrictive. You see those pens given. Clear push on Jackson. #AVFC 340
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Leon Bailey's Aston Villa career... Signed as part of our Grealish succession plan and delivered for brief moments overall. Explosive on his day and distinctly average the rest. The upwards trajectory in 23/24 compared to the time before and after that is quite something. #AVFC 0110

Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 01/09/2026£75m for a player who hasn't kicked a ball in a professional game since November 2024 😂 050
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 31/08/2026I could complain about our lack of shots on target but there's no panic Jackson fresh in, and plenty still missing Against one of the toughest defences in Europe. Thought we put conducted ourselves well Reaction on @claretbluepod.bsky.social with @danrolinson.bsky.social in about an hour.. #AVFC 1170
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 31/08/2026The bar for a free kick this season seems incredibly high 340
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Fantastic half from Villa. Arsenal haven't really threatened. To a man, no complaints. Passing range from Suzuki is going to cause teams problems when we have more pace in this side. Hemmings above his years. #AVFC 1220
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Should be a good one tonight, no idea how it's going to end up and not much expectation either! 170
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Watched Man Utd vs Ipswich... Let me get this straight: Maguire’s handball is only allowed because his shot took a deflection off Greaves for an own goal. If it went straight in, it’s disallowed. He only got the shot off because of the handball. Make it make sense. 3182
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Fair play to Spurs, great business but the last two weeks have proven you can spend all you like but two years finishing 17th in a row is hard to shake off 640
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 29/08/2026Where's your money on the next Aston Villa centre back sweepstake? Mine is on a 10:59pm announcement of Taylor Harwood-Bellis 🤔 Unless there's a curveball not reported yet... #AVFC 490
Matt Lynch @mattlyynch.bsky.social · 29/08/2026John McGinn's episode on Stick to Football was great but I couldn't listen to that podcast every week... The Adverts, the eating and drinking over the microphone, the 10 minutes of small talk before the guest turns up 😐 4100
