Literally this! Like I was building Wanda around her ult but second guessing myself a lot and I feel like you need to do lots of research into what builds are best. And it’s such a limited pool of characters every time they do these. Like let me play as Emma in ANY of them!

I do also think the original planned order, which far as I know was episode 5 would have been episode 7 and overall the two plots were more mixed up, would have helped a bit. Particularly with the plot with the blackmailer

Yeah a lot of the stuff with Sinestro I found a let down. And I hope if they do a s2 it’ll have him in a bit more and make him more of a character. I really feel like they did pretty good jobs with Hal and John, and then the rest were sorta just there

(I think) Final one: seen a lot of stuff about a season 2 but not sure we need one or even what it would cover as this felt more like setting John up to be a big character. Like only argument I can really see is he’s like the low-budget lantern really.

The implications for what this means of the Lanterns going forward is interesting but think need to see these guys in Man of Tomorrow to really get the sense of what it means.

Hated the John flashback episode and it was at least acknowledged how fucked it was later but like the whole thing of it was full on abusive. I think as a whole it kinda fits with the narrative of the final episode. Though one of the wrap up scenes annoyed me in relation to this.

The charactere was where the show thrived. John was great. Both versions of Hal we got worked really well for me. Some of the supporting cast felt underused but it was very much their show.

2026 stuff also really feels like “shit we blew the budget in episode 5” and whilst the reasons for no constructs make sense it makes it feel like a different show in many ways.

Finished Lanterns last night and some thoughts whilst trying to be as limited with spoilers as I can. The 2016 plot was the peak of the show. Know it was the main focus but with only 3 episodes to touch on it the 2026 stuff felt more like a coda. And some of it deserved more time to breath.
