Very good review. I have to admit I'm struggling these days with games that are just mechanics without fail states that are mostly there to tell stories. Of course not everything needs to a be a shooter but I feel like there should be stakes of some kind.

I do want to train myself to be better with horror, it's such a compelling genre. With Obsession I kind of felt like I jumped into the deep end, it's hella disturbing when you think out all of its implications (and yeah the animal stuff would definitely be a no-go).

Definitely! I have a lot of years of failed game design and dev and literal decades of playing games so going with my insintcts feels right. Even in cases where things are a bit messy or inconsistent, if I like it, it stays.

I generally prefer Chris, but Brendan's work in Greatest Story is truly great at times, particularly Ramblin' Boys of Pleasure. And of course they harmonize really nicely in Oh Calcutta.
