Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 2hIt's great to have a good in-flight Wi-Fi experience. It's a factor when booking for me, but not the most important factor. 000
Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 2hThe primitives you expose that others use and build upon matter. Actually, that's sometimes all that matters about a product. 0144

Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 2hI can only imagine how much worse that is for your friend. I wouldn't mind as much if the agents were more kind about it. It's just very abrupt and demanding. 000
Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 3hHow many times per year do you need to be randomly selected by TSA for an extended check before it's not random anymore? 140
Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 8hPerhaps it doesn't matter for some class of people but it does matter for others. Sure X months from now it might be better or worse but you'll still need to define the goal and what done really looks like, regardless whether you'll read the output. 000
Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 8hBut also, someone did care about the complexity of the process so they could optimize for cost, time, taste, and other facets. My point is that, left unattended, LLMs don't have much of a concept of complexity so it can easily create complex things. 100
Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 8hYeah I get what you're saying. I'm on the fence because there are certainly areas in life where the complexity doesn't matter to the user. Case in point is restaurants. I don't care how complex the process of making the food was. I just care about the output. 100
Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 8hThe bias to complexity part I think is the more important part of that line. LLMs will pursue complexity autonomously in pursuit of the goal if left unchecked. 111

Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 01/10/2026It sure it, but also many of these communities aren't at the millions of users scale. Could do something smaller and more focused. 000
Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 01/10/2026I'm not even defining best here, the communities that continue to choose Slack and Discord are. There are other options but none seem to get traction comparatively. 000
Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 01/10/2026It's 2026 and our best option for community chat applications remains Slack and Discord. I'm beginning to wonder if all these "builders" are actually building anything. 360
Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 29/09/2026Smash Bros and Mario Party were core to our friend group growing up. I wanted to list one of them but the others just had more impact on me personally. 011

Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 28/09/2026I find too many people compare AI of the future against the present world. They say things like "AI solves this in 6 months". Okay but in 6 months the world will be different and we'll have new and/or different problems to solve. This exchange feels like that. 010
Matthew Sanabria @matthewsanabria.com · 27/09/2026Hahaha! You hit this right on the head. I can name people that have their LinkedIn headline set to that and are heavily relying upon AI. 010
