I suspect this way lies madness, but I guess we'll see. Not high on the priority list, but I'll get to it eventually...

When I started out printing, everyone said "you'll find your thing after a while". Now, as I come to register paper for my latest print, I find myself thinking, "how did I end up specialising in architectural prints?" #printmaking

Just ordered some A2 lino sheets, but it's a case of mo' paper mo' problems (as Biggie may have said), where the hell am I going to dry these prints? Thinking cap on! #printmaking

The experiment continues and the flaws multiply... Already thinking about how I'll do things differently for the next version. Think I'll press on with the final two layers though. #printmaking #linocut #ifatfirstyoudontsucceed

Dusted off the "Seafarers" plate from 2021. Unusually for me it was carved into Japanese vinyl. Nice to print off, but not as versatile as traditional lino (in my opinion). #printmaking #nohumanisillegal

"Icarus" one of my very earliest linocut prints from lockdown when I started. Since then using oil-based caligo Safewash inks and a cold-press laminator has massively improved the consistency of my prints. I still like the roughness of this though #linocut #printmaking

Printing the Cheese Grater: A 🧵 In June 2023, I was waiting for a bus home from town, and I took this photo of the Charles Street car park, otherwise known as the “Cheese Grater”. Looking at the photo on the bus, I thought, “that’d make a cool print, but I haven’t got a clue how to do it. 1/

Magpie, a 40x40cm reduction linocut that I made to experiment with making bigger prints on my CPL. Never intended to try and sell any prints at that point. It's only when it was exhibited and people said "isn't just one magpie unlucky?" that I thought, "oh yeah". #linocut #printmaking
