Construction of the Antwerp cathedral was started in 1352. Originally it was meant to have two identical spires, but in 1533 it was nearly destroyed by a fire. Rebuilding it took so much money and manpower, that there was no money left for completing the 2nd spire. It has since become a feature.

Today is my 58th birthday. Sadly,it only serves as a reminder of how little I mean to people in my own life. Such a contrast to the friendship I've found on Twitter and hopefully here. People valuing what I say,instead of people never forgetting what I once was,and not the person that I've become!
