Tbh, it's unclear to me which is less accurate as a description of Burnham's Labour: "Socialist" or "Unabashed"

Refusing to explain why I have eaten the plums that were in the icebox as radical anti-imperialist praxis.
Screenshot of Latour: Providing an explanation is, in a nutshell, working at empire-building; the more powerful an explanation, the larger the empire and the stronger the material in which it is built. What we admire in powerful theories we should also admire in freeways, multinational corporations, satellite networks, weapon systems, international banking and data banks. If we do not admire these achievements, there is no basis for using a double standard and letting the 'powerful theories' stand apart and alone be worshipped"

I redid the section on social construction in the Stanford Feminist Metaphysics article last year, and I am once again tapping the sign:
Text from a Stanford Encyclopedia Entry: As such, many feminist metaphysicians have argued that a necessary part of feminist praxis will involve debunking claims that gender and other such categories are i) natural, ii) inevitable, and iii) without need of justification. (Note that, contrary to a popular misconception, claiming that something is socially constructed is not about claiming that that something isn’t real! Social constructionists broadly tend to be realists about the things that get socially constructed,

It's a very old rhetorical strategy we developed as a way of legitimating our empire. The politeness and the civility has always been a cruel facade, to hide (often from ourselves!) the violence and exploitation we exported.
