one of the things people don't tell you is that you can un-give up. So while it is better not to give up, even if you do, blam, just un-give up. Every time I look at the lore note for my world’s major currency I laugh because I have a tid bit to give a sorta vague sense of its value. In it I have a list of converted into multiple real life currencies. But as a true patriot, I’ve cheekily and very deliberately NOT listed USD as one of them.

So I’m hearing that a Dutch privacy group used meta smart glasses to film meta employees, and the employees felt uncomfortable about it. Why tho? If they aren’t doing anything wrong why do they care if they’re being recorded with their own technology?

Something that bugs me is that I often see people who talk about enshitification and the stranglehold a lot of platforms and programs have, yet don't offer alternatives. And I feel like that doesn't encourage people to look into alternatives. There's better stuff, more secure stuff, free stuff.

Something I feel is overlooked in spaceship/infrastructure design in scifi is this pesky little thing called the immune system. Gravity be damned, take a fucking jar of dirt up there! So when you see space ships, space stations, etc in my world, you will see biospheres built into them by design.
