@masterbootrecord.bsky.social dropped a new track, and a game demo at the same time, I gave it a play, it's good!

As an Asgore, thank you for this body positivity. I needed that today.

Tried to dance off against one of @sonicstraya.bsky.social biggest creators, got chaos controlled 😭 I'll get you next time, SODA! fear these BIG ARMS! (and cheers big ears for @djear.bsky.social on that remix!) Can you believe this @sonic-official.bsky.social ? How rude!

And from small crowd to... Rather larger venue and crowd 😈 also @ocremix.org (Berdley Unleashed)

Dropping a little @djear.bsky.social as part of the Rave RPG on the weekend in Liverpool. Small crowd? No worries, chaos still reigns 😈 Oh yeah that one's on @ocremix.org too!

Finally getting the short text for this thing down to a manageable level.

Looks like these 3 elements are fixed (2 wide, one narrow at the top). My guess is a 3x5 array (since it's symmetrical) that gets populated at room gen to fill the remaining big walls, then a selector for the "small bits".

I just got a M-VAVE FM1 which - cheap, cheerful, built in library of sounds, 3.5mm out, 3.5mm Midi, works as a controller, USB C - and battery operated. The stock sounds are ummmm...you get what you pay for, but it seems pretty cool for tinkering. $70AUD landed on aliexpress.

Making dice. Finishing Unbeatable. Designing new area cover images for my show. Making original music. Filling government forms. Pick one 🤣

So I realised the other day: Whimsy and Cynicism are opposites. What does AI do? Murders whimsy and creates cynics. I'm gonna be extra fuckin whimsical just to compensate, now scuse me while I form a chrysalis to make all this imminent joy at life. OH AND HELLO MY CAT ON MY LAP YES THIS IS GOOD.

This is such an irrelevant thing to mess with, but I spent 5 minutes lining up the up arrow and @dcellgames.com avatar just to make an eclipse...

Mina the Hollower looks pretty damn cool and I'll be playing it very soon BUT when the cover art is shrunk it failed the "is that a penis?" test 🤣 Clearly it isn't, but also clearly, my brain is deep in the gutter today.

I discovered OCReMix through AskJeeves in my high school computer lab. My first was either Arkanoid or Sonic Adventure (Party Started/Theme of Chao) Its a site that means a lot to me and formed most of my self selected music taste - and shows up in my sets a lot! Happy birthday to DJ Pretzel!

People still aren't totally sure what "Rave RPG" means so I figured I'd show it a bit better. Sound up for this one!

The Super Hexagon Aussies grew up with vs the 2026 remake. I hope they get @chipzel.bsky.social again tho, needs that crispy baked chip crunch.

A little highlights reel from my Rave RPG shows at AVCon last weekend

Yeah so I did the thing. @gooseworx.bsky.social probably didn't expect The World Revolving to get played in this situation 😅

It's... Not even painted? Or finished? Like at all? I know it's just a show piece but still... What?

So anyway how about one I made? Just for fun 😁 Caine and Bubble up on the stacks was just icing on the cake really. Yes I played the one who's running the show, no I'm not gonna post it today. Later. Later. @gooseworx.bsky.social the sound design through this section of Ep.8 was incredible!

Speaking of AI, did you know art is like tea? And that AI generated shit is more like blended woodchips that they're hoping to pass off as matcha?

I thought it would be fun to drop my "I Like Trains" song over the trailer for DenshAttack! ( @fireshinegames.bsky.social ) ... I didn't expect it to work quite that well 😅

A little BTS of the build process for the Rave dice. This has been a solid couple of years of R&D to get to this point and I'm hoping this new iteration works as well as I think it will!

Doing some lighting programming for the Rave RPG. Might have gone a bit overboard.

No, it's not timecode. Yes, it's a tower of code and applications ready to explode at a moments notice. On the other hand...

Hmm, Five Nights at Freddy's? I mean suuuuure but consider: Chipped of the Necrodancer. That's a logical connection right? Meh, any excuse to get @chipzel.bsky.social on the dancefloor 😁

Um. 56/55, I guess? 🤣 Sonic Rave never ended, it just made new friends.

Matt Frequencies @mattfrequencies.bsky.social · 23/05/2026

55/55. Read on. Long thread. Sonic means more to me than I will ever be able to describe. I cried more times during the prep for this Rave and the actual Rave itself than any other set I've ever done.

54/55 - our penultimate song: Undefeatable. Only... This isn't the original. This isn't even a remix you've heard. This? This is my redrum/edit of Silent Dreams absolutely mental DnB / dubstep remix, made with their blessing and stems.

100 0

Matt Frequencies @mattfrequencies.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

53/55 - A huge reveal, the first time playing this song out, @_theap_ on guitars took it from good to "ok I'm playing this near the end" - bumping the Sonic Gens version off! I've never backed one of my own tracks to that level but this one, in the right crowd, at the right time... Indescribable.

Matt Frequencies @mattfrequencies.bsky.social · 21/05/2026

52/55 - @deluxebar SPECIFICALLY SAID "no more moshes" so I wasn't going to start one this Rave OK, and then you lot went and did THIS! 🤣🤣 @sonic-official.bsky.social is this a problem you have to deal with much? #sonic #rave #remix

Matt Frequencies @mattfrequencies.bsky.social · 21/05/2026

51/55 - And then... BWAAAAAAAAAA You know I never miss a chance to drop Doom, even if it's just a little bit. Still love this as a way to get to Break Through it All! But wait. If we're here, but there's still 20 minutes of the rave to go... Where the hell are we going next?? #sonic #rave #remix

Matt Frequencies @mattfrequencies.bsky.social · 20/05/2026

So this year is about Sonic, obviously, but next year... Maybe I should remix something really obscure that I'm weirdly attached to. youtu.be/0h8Sog1ZICk?...

50/55 - A 2 parter. First, the setup, courtesy of InGodWeRock's excellent remix of What I'm Made Of... #rave #sonic #remix

Matt Frequencies @mattfrequencies.bsky.social · 19/05/2026

49/55 - most of you have never heard the PrototypeRaptor remix of Open Your Heart and I think that's a goddamn shame. Let's fix that. Pendulum meets the song that made modern Sonic for me. @ocremix.org at full tilt, no holds barred power on the dancefloor, with the right people.
