Protest is important. But organization is how we win. Next Saturday is reorganization for the Rutherford County Democratic Party. Show up, get involved—then let’s go march together. Here is my latest video talking about why this is important. youtu.be/rfmah6jL_gc

I've seen a petition going around that wants Murfreesboro to do this....it's the same bunch that come to ban books at the school board and public libraries. 🙄

Tonight I listened at a townhall meeting put on by Republic in regards to the landfill. I have one observation. I don't trust for profit health insurance companies about my healthcare and I don't think we should trust a for profit company to tell us what is best for Rutherford County.

The past few weeks a complete lack of empathy has been shown by leaders in our state and local community of Rutherford County. Here are my thoughts about some of the actions recently by those that claim to follow their religion. #rucotn #murfreesboro #tndp #empathy youtu.be/OwtjZjAiyUI

I am in Rutherford County. I was sickened when I saw that this senator used our school boards now rescinded resolution on immigration and ESL.

Today I went to the Chamber of Commerce and held a sign that said "Education is for Everyone". Had a few interactions but here is a video with my thoughts. I only saw 3 of our reps and no Dawn White. This is a hateful bill and clearly unconstitutional. #rucotn #murfreesboro youtu.be/XJnEfshJ98A

2. Tomorrow morning all of our state representatives will be at the Chamber of Commerce at 745. The event is sold out but anyone can stand outside and hold a sign 😁📣

Yesterday RuCo GOP State Senator Dawn White was the deciding vote to advance SB0836 out of committee. This bill will allow local schools to deny education to children with undocumented status. The RCS border resolution was used to help justify the bill.

I've not been good about updating here lately. But I am running for Chair of the Rutherford County Democratic Party. Here is my Substack with details. Reorganization is on April 5th 10am at McFadden in Murfreesboro. #rucotn open.substack.com/pub/mattfeer...

The local GOP here has taken the side with the bullies and the dictators. Their new slogan should be "freedom for me and none for thee". My thoughts on what happened yesterday with a local perspective. youtube.com/shorts/5pP2t...

I didn't know a county could ammend a form to fix a loophole. But in Scott County they did that.

Stay involved with your local government. If you live in Murfreesboro go and talk to your City Council tomorrow.

What's up Rutherford County. I finally published this feed with finding as many people as I could that talk about local topics. Please go to my profile and then select Feeds and follow the Rutherford County feed. It is pretty basic and is just a list of accounts. Let me know if you want to be added

@acheshirealice.bsky.social has the right idea. Those that are out there in DC might not hear us but the ones running our counties, cities, and schools will. Pay attention to what is happening in your community and speak out as much as you can.

40 Acres and a Lie - Reveal

It’s often thought of as a promise that was never kept. But “40 acres and a mule” was more than that. A three-part series from Reveal and the Center for Public Integrity.

Yesterday Rutherford Steering Committee removed immigration resolution from agenda. This Thursday the county school board will consider removal of ~50 books and an awful resolution on DEI. Email the school board and tell them this all needs to stop. Focus on education not politics.

The meeting is tonight and there is a presentation from republic on the county SharePoint. rutherfordcountygovt-my.sharepoint.com/personal/rct...

I was surprised to be banished, but we made tee shirts out of it 😝. They have another 50 books on the list this Thursday and a resolution about getting rid of DEI 🙄
