They’re ninja spy jerseys! Even first time I saw them I was wondering what team is that for a few seconds.

I feel like debugging a problem related to two clocks out of sync is one of those fun milestone problems in software engineering. Like getting a new skill or leveling up in a game.

Ummm.. if that’s the case half of us need to watch from a hospital bed. Too much ptsd & high blood pressure from past playoff field goals, especially flawless kickers.

Has anyone ever believed in those and also been a fan for more than a few years?

They’re a great mix of British style humor, sci-fi and Twilight Zone. Looking forward to their upcoming movie

If the connector is mcp it should work on any llm that supports mcp.

I seem to prefer sol and opus 4.8 for most work

Would also like to see the command palette get attention and do better at letting me search and go to a project or issue much quicker without multiple steps.

I asked it what i need to work on this iteration and it just sent me to my profile. I was expecting it to look at issues in our project for this iteration. So the ai piece seems really broke for hogging the most important real estate I also would like to be able to add my own project view.

Just a reminder to all the pirates, you can often just support your local library. They often have a great collection of movies. Plus way simpler than running your own media server.

If it’s any consequence, most men I know love being girl dads and will gladly talk football to their daughters, play catch with them, let them paint their nails & do what little hair they have. Same for most uncles without kids that I know.

I feel like there is a misunderstanding going on. I & others aren’t saying that it’s super intelligent. We are saying it’s really good at accomplishing certain kinds of tasks but what is really scary is how people are using it. 1,000s of agents running with access to tools and no supervision.

100% agree! AI models are very capable. I’ve been screaming for years that their entropy multiplied by gpu processed decisions can result in really bad outcomes Hugging Face is a perfect example of what can and will happen when you let thousands of AI agents run without a human in the loop

Yes. They’re going to fast without proper safe guards. Not just them but people using their tools too. It’s like letting a self driving car speed through traffic changing lanes at 500mph. Their experiments hacked websites & broke their rules. They need to slow down and be held responsible.

I think the larger context and reasoning of the latest models shines best when you want it to use lots of different apps and context to accomplish things. With coding I think we’ve been at the 80/20 role for a long time. It’s great as is and to improve more isn’t worth the effort.

Olivia Miles is fun to watch. I hope she doesn’t get attacked by the instigators. If WNBA was ran by competent people they would be crushing the culture war instigators and promoting her and some of their other skilled players.

Audio books are the best! All the pros of amazing actor/narrators but you still get the full real story and to use your imagination. It’s my absolute favorite combination of story telling trade offs. Makes sense it’s something that has been around for most of humanity

Strong agreement. 5 is hard to trust and downright terrible at following basic instructions Sonnet even does better at simple tasks like create a couple simple files with basic UI logic similar to prior work it can use as an example 5 also seems like it will use CLI commands to do destructive work

Have been using this workflow over the past few weeks with sentry and mix of llms. I like it a lot but I wouldn’t run it without steering or doing a review on. I’ve needed to adjust the fix often.

They did get push back around 2012 for experimenting with similar features that gave people answers instead of links. Same with the AMP project. To be fair, partial reason for these is too many news, blogger, recipe sites are unreadable, even for paid subscribers. Looking at you @wired.com

Try sublime text editor or jetbrains editors. Jetbrains has it. Or do you need to embed the editor in your app you’re building

This is such a simple EF migrations feature and it makes my day to see it! github.com/dotnet/core/...
Screenshot of link.

dotnet ef can now load default values for common options from a .config/dotnet-ef.json file (dotnet/efcore #37966, closes dotnet/efcore#35231). Discovery walks up from the working directory, similar to how .editorconfig or global.json are resolved, so the same defaults apply whether you run dotnet ef migrations add from the solution root or from a sub-folder. Command-line arguments still take precedence.

Make It Myself xkcd.com/3233/
Comic. [Person and person with white hat facing two boxes stacked with $80 price tag and sale tag on each box.] PERSON 1: They want $80 for this? I could make one myself for $10 in parts, an hour of work, a trip to the hardware store, another $30 in parts, another few hours of work, two more trips to the store for $20 more in parts, another hour of work to redo the first hour of work because I messed up, and $80 to buy this when the one I made breaks.

Jensen needs to be turned into a motivational song. Your premise is wrong. Think from first principles. You were not born a loser You do not make cars, you make ecosystems that cannot be swapped out

Git worktrees are the new hotness now that agents can work on parallel instances of your codebase. What they don’t solve is the port conflict problem, that’s where aspire run/start —isolated comes! By @james.newtonking.com devblogs.microsoft.com/aspire/aspir... #aspiredev @aspire.dev

Running Multiple Instances of an Aspire AppHost Without Port Conflicts
Aspire 13.2 introduces isolated mode, letting you run multiple instances of the same AppHost in parallel without port conflicts.
