Got to step out with my lovely girlfriend @kieyul.bsky.social to see The Color Purple. I'd not seen the stage version of the musical. @kcreptheatre.bsky.social did an amazing job.

Feeling different these days. Clarity of purpose and process.

Before the sun breaks the moonlit sky I rouse from my slumber.
Woken up to realizations and plans.
Amazing how it feels to be at this point of progress.
I had to learn patience so I could let things develop.
I had to learn to love myself so I could see myself clearly.
Now everything around me moves in sync with everything within me.
The wings of my dreams larger than ever before.
And no limitation but the skies above...

Noooo! What foil contemptuous soul has unleashed the evil from it's prison? We were warned not to listen to their lies. Now we live again in the time of MONCHICHI! You fools, you've damned us ALL! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

For me, most iconic isn't my favorite or the best, so that would be Michael Jackson's Thriller cover. But my personal top is Prince's Purple Rain Cover. #QuestionSky

I once spoke of myself this way. Separating the parts of myself as an easy to deal with the difficulties of my particular neurodivergence. This #transplantjourney and the illnesses just before it, taught me to accept my full self. To "take off my mask," if you will. Now? "I and my storm are one."

You said you liked storms,
So I let you in.

Turns out you can only handle
A little rain,

And I am a HURRICANE.

Got to hang out tonight with one of the friends that helped me through the last few years of my illnesses and transplant. I hadn't seen #AlvinAiley live since my 20s. I was moved to tears watching them do "Revelations," thinking about the last time in my teens that I saw it with both my parents.

If those ring hollow to you because you watch family be deported, colleagues lose jobs, and friends lose necessary safety nets and civil rights? Well you’re right to feel that way according to me, but Chuck? Oh Chuck would sacrifice you all on the altar of civility and then put on a Kente cloth and kneel in your honor when it suits him and there was backlash.

I'm just saying we now have a perfect image for those performative people claiming to be allies. AND for the ones saying they want to share/tell our stories for us. Just because they'll also take on the overt enemies doesn't mean that they aren't also the enemy. #WatchForTheHook #Sinners

After almost 30 years of battling mine? They know but don't care enough to step in until the "TV show Special Episode" level of depressed. Then they try the same bad ideas. Your therapist & psychiatrist are so important because no one else is equipped to help. Get rid of those who don't support you.

Functional Depression is real. You work, joke, and take care of your family, yet mentally, your drowning in your own thoughts-and no one knows.
