Very interesting new study finding that *even in large European cities*, in most places it is easier to access opportunities by car than by public transport arxiv.org/pdf/2604.01019 The exceptions are Paris, Zurich and the innermost parts of Milan and Barcelona

Where everyday services are closer, per-capita transport emissions are lower. 🏘️ The relationship is roughly linear and, when services are distributed more evenly, emissions decrease. Cities are complex, yet the path to sustainability is becoming clearer! doi.org/10.1038/s44333-025-00074-0
