I could write about her for hours, but for now this sentence sums up how I’m feeling today. ❤️

My brain reminds me often that there are many stored memories, waiting for me to unlock, and I think that is purposeful, because it makes every day interactions an opportunity to rediscover a old part of myself I may have forgotten about. #booksky #author #teacher #education

Kids need the absolute best support, and one way to do that is to show them the endless possibilities that can come from chasing a seem. #dream #teachers #authorlife

Think back to the moments you were outside with friends, circling in and around an environment so real you forgot you made it up yourself. That is imagination without limits. That is joy, that is expression, that is what I want kids to experience, and adults to remember. #education #booksky #teacher

"Park Bench" I sat on an empty park bench today watching the world go by. People hurried past without noticing it, but for me, it was a quiet place to catch my breath. Sometimes, what looks unremarkable to everyone else can be exactly what you need. #smallmoments #booksky #authorlife #teacher

Dear #booksky, I'm an author/storyteller, with over 100 million views on social media. I share stories from my time journaling as a classroom teacher and the everyday interactions with the people around me. It's nice to meet you. I hope you enjoy the stories, because I have a lot to share.

Fear is a parent, watching their child roast a marshmallow that suddenly catches fire, and yells at them to blow it out. #parenting #author #campfire #fear

I think it’s the burnout from ads too. I did 100 swipes at over 50% were product/pitch related.

One of life’s greatest joys is taking a bottle cap off the bottle, and then using it as a small cup to deliver the rest of the drink to your mouth. Don’t believe me? Well, there is only one way to find out, isn’t there? #soda #storytime #teachers #author #books #parents

The first time I realized you could create a spark by shuffling your sock-covered feet on the carpet and then touch a door knob, I knew right away I was going to try it on something else. I also learned that day my mom doesn’t have a good sense of humor. #storytime #parentlife #authorlife

Every time a dog looks at me and tilts their head to the side, lifting those adorable ears up into the air to take in all the senses, it makes me feel like I must have done something worthy of recognition. #authorlife #dogs #storytime

One day my brother and I actually tried to get to the end of the rainbow. I don’t remember being disappointed, but I do remember the amazing adventure of trying to reach it.

Is there anything more satisfying than the sound of a vacuum uncovering a hidden patch of dirt in the carpet? Of course, there are plenty of things, but that doesn’t make the small pleasure of it any less enjoyable.
