But the latter half of the movie is EXTREMELY good, no notes. Also a very fun and sweet watch in general, but ESPECIALLY so for a Pinoy audience ahaha Anything that gives people an interest in Philippine mythology and culture is an A+ in my book

Also me review of this is that it’s VERY good. Has a lot going on and is on the line of weirdness that it might be a bit much for some. Personally I feel like the first half of the movie could done with… a bit less? And instead giving room for other characters to breathe a bit

lmao dude what, apparently a guy selling AI shit at a convention in Australia got so mad that people were criticizing him for it he started biting them. I've heard of AI brainrotting but these people are literally zombifying www.abc.net.au/news/2026-09...

Got to watch Forgotten Island with Scott in an otherwise empty cinema, so there was no one there to stop me yelling ‘Mommy’ whenever the Manananggal was on the screen

You’ve forgotten something. You really, really have. It feels good and organic to draw my boy again, especially with the campaign being such a good muse rn #ocart #illustration #art

A digital illustration of Avery’s OC FLUTE. He seems half submerged in water. He holds up a red thread, which has a glowing Forget-Me-Not flower tied to the end, which he looks up at. Red threads are tied to his fingers, delicately leading out from him, while some threads seem to connect to the Orion constellation in the sky above him

Same as the previous illustration, except FLUTE is mirrored so the side of his face that is scarred is facing the viewer. His scarring leave the face almost down to the skull, with eye socket abd teeth visible. This does not retract from the beautyof the piece, however

Also still waiting for the video but I do love the snaps from my most recent dance performance 💪 Loved doing a lil’ rock and roll routine to Misery Business by Paramore, was really great to just have fun with it! #dance

Got the ingredient list from my hairdresser and have an allergen test booked for a few weeks from now They have said that there are options with coloured hair wax though, and we can do cool patterns in the shave (Erika Ishii-core), so I’m feeling better about it all!

Matte Bat 🦇 @mattebat.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

But yeah, ngl I’m a little rattled, for multiple reasons. Both the ‘what could have happened’ and the ‘well what happens now’ Hair looks fire rn though, lmao

Matte Bat 🦇 @mattebat.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

It WAS a new brand of bleach being used (yes we should have patch tested, we got complacent as I have had zero prior reactions and have no history of allergic reactions to anything other than a mild shellfish allergy, and no skin conditions), so we’ll see

Matte Bat 🦇 @mattebat.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

Like, I had a period where I couldn’t afford it and it really fucked me up mentally, it’d be a really hard thing to say goodbye to I mean, I’d do it, I’m not risking anaphylaxis for pink hair but like. Yeah, it’d be a tough pill that’s for sure

140

Matte Bat 🦇 @mattebat.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

Going to book for an allergen test tomorrow to hopefully pinpoint what the exact product was and like. Manifesting it’s something that can be avoided in products because coloured hair is such a core part of how I see myself

140

Matte Bat 🦇 @mattebat.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

I’ve never had any reaction like that before, and it’s only really hitting me now what happened and how spooked I am from it 🥺

130

Matte Bat 🦇 @mattebat.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

It’s 4:30am and I’m awake having a crisis bc I had a really bad allergic reaction (thankfully breathing not affected, but full body hives and swollen face) to having my hair bleached yesterday.

I hate A.I. far more than the average person, but I expected from the beginning that whoever put this together was *not* representative of the creative team behind the movie. Some of us have *got* to stop rushing to judgment. It's not fair to the artists doing their best.

My child loves going to the library and checking out a new video game every week. Going digital only eliminates libraries as a way people can access games.
