Heathrow airport has special corridors reserved for passengers with antlers, which seems very thoughtful of them but also oddly specific.

with a pictograph of a person walking and two pictographs of airplanes that appear to be radiating out of their head, resembling antlers.

And here's an example of the use of Tilt (really Swing) to do selective focus on the subject.

And just for good measure, here are some photos that made prominent use of shift that would have been much harder to make without it.

From a talk I’m giving this afternoon
Common Election Denial
Conspiracy Themes
• Conflating proof of existence of vulnerabilities with proof of exploitation
• Superficially complex, but meaningless, data analysis ("suspicious patterns")
• Attributing unlimited (but vaguely specified) capabilities and resources to adversaries (satellites often involved)
• Disbelief that other side could have won without cheating

Elon Musk does sometimes seem like a Bond villain, but he doesn’t, as far as anyone knows, possess supernatural powers. If he hacked the 2024 election, that’s big news. Please explain how he did it. What computers did he compromise? What did he do, other than financial support for Trump, exactly?

Musk had the people, the knowledge, the access and the money to get it done.
And he did it.
Do you remember when someone in Arizona (l think) stole one of the voting machines? It was reported in the news during the coverage of the Trump accusations about voter fraud.

Pretty much my whole day here has been one reply like this after another. Honestly, I think this slightly overstates my role in destroying our democracy. But I’ll try to be more careful with it whatever’s left of it from now on.
So youre an impotent gatekeeper & shill who has ignored decades of GOP cheating via ES&S Dominion (now Liberty) & ProV&V
You have through your inaction surrendered our Democracy to corrupt corporations & Fascists
Great Job
Maybe you should have done your job & fixed those 'serious vulnerabilities'

Huge if true (I’m surprised they didn’t come right out and say “Soros money”). Nonetheless, whether I’m “bought and paid for” or not, you still need actual evidence to overturn an election.

Its in his financial interest to

Now that you’ve used more ALL CAPS, I am persuaded by your argument.

THE GOP CHEATS
I provided facts & references
You just seem incapable of critical thinking or making a logical assumption based on an overwhelming preponderance of evidence & historical precedent above & beyond the fact that DT & EM ADMITTED to

So far, it’s working out pretty well, actually.
Quote of a post:

what is it like being a professer of computer science and law while having no fundamental grasp on the real world and how it operates

This is not some borderline edge case. It’s addressed directly in Article II of the constitution. See www.archives.gov/founding-doc... for even more fun facts about how our government is organized.
Section. 4.

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

What working in election security is like, part 5693
A rather rudely worded post implying that I must be stupid and/or malicious, and suggesting, via an acronym, that I perform a rather improbable sexual act.

My finished photo here: www.flickr.com/photos/mattb... I took the eclipse as an opportunity for lanscape photography rather than astrophotography. But eclipses as best experienced firsthand, with all the senses.
Solar eclipse at totality. A small, bright corona with a dark center visible at upper right. Most of the frame is a dark sky filled with various clouds, with a dark airfield visible at bottom. Airport terminal lights visible in background.

If an editor/headline writer/content manager (or whatever they're called these days) sees a headline that says "Martians Attack New Jersey Town", maybe find out if you should add "... in fictional radio program" BEFORE hitting "publish".

The phone-based COVID exposure notification system wasn’t supremely effective, but this mad rush to rip out every last bit of pandemic mitigation infrastructure is just stupid. Still masking.

Speaking of writer’s strikes, I’m glad my parents didn’t throw out our copy of Not The New York Times, produced during the 1978 newspaper strike. Still holds up, kind of a proto-Onion.
