The Knights being in the Grand Final feels like something from my childhood, from the pre-Facebook era, has been brought back. The fun of pulling the plastic wrap off a new CD, being excited about a new Lord of the Rings movie or a family trip to Australia’s Wonderland.

Big news Knights fans disappointed by lack of available grand final seats. With Phoenix Crossland suspended, there is now an extra seat available - on the bench. Seat AAA1 (Adult) Unobstructed view, moderate to severe chance of hospitalisation if sent on the field.

While the rest of the finals series was well below capacity, the Grand Final is ~80% sold before the finalists are determined. Small allocations are kept aside for the fans of those teams, but those were sold in 10 minutes this morning.

So… turns out when a team doesn’t make a grand final in a generation it breeds a certain naïveté in that team’s supporters. I (and essentially every other Novocastrian) have discovered today that Grand Final tickets are almost all sold weeks in advance.
