Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 15hIt's wild, but believable, that Geller posted an admission/apology on BlueSky, where he makes no money, but not Patreon, where he makes... uh, shoot, I'd tell you how much he made a month, but he hid that from the public instead of posting his admission/apology. Maybe @jackconte.bsky.social knows? 0416
Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 01/10/2026The one thing I don't understand is, if you recognize that you traumatized your victim, as you states in your apology, then why become a public-facing content creator? Couldn't your online presence be potentially triggering to your victim? Why not, at the very least, get a job behind the scenes? 5960
Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 01/10/2026This came out of left field for just about everyone. It's very rare to have someone accused of assault and then get proof of that assault because of documents from an unrelated court case. And in this apology, he doesn't even say he's going to step away for a while. Which he probably needs to do. 0170

Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 31/03/2026For being such a Leftist platform, BlueSky doesn't have a lot of posts about how Kristoffer Borgli, the director of "The Drama," is a pedophile and had a relationship with a 16 year old at the age of 27.hollywoodreporter.com‘The Drama’ Director Kristoffer Borgli’s 2012 Essay on His Age-Gap Romance Resurfaces, Sparking ControversyThe Norwegian filmmaker’s 2012 personal account of a May-December romance he had in his 20s is trending on Reddit as his latest film, starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, raises his profile. 010

Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 23/02/2026Dropout isn't a Leftist organization. It's a comedy platform, and if an episode of The Rookie gives them more leeway to make the shows they want and meet Nathan Fillion in the process, great. More power to them. 110
Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 05/02/2026At risk of getting people upset, I thought The Muppet Show with Sabrina Carpenter was nostalgia done wrong. Some people *want* the same exact show, though, that existed in the 70s, and I guess this is for them. If the show gets a full series order, I won't be mad, but I'm not excited. 110

Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 21/12/2025I spent 30 minutes going down a rabbit hole about Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's use of genAI and how goodwill toward the developers is now eroded. Then I checked the game's stats on SteamDB... 000

Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 19/11/2025Gameloft, the company, needs to go out of business. The way they have handled both Disney Dreamlight Valley and Disney Speedstorm are lessons in what not to do with video games. 110
Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 29/10/2025I was going to have a social media profile for 'Matt About Media' on Reddit, but that site is such a cesspool! I rejoin every few months under a new username, but end up leaving time and time again because everyone there is *too online.* In a bad way. 010
Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 28/10/2025Pokemon Legends: A-Z isn't perfect. In fact, there are issues that should be talked about. But this article is pure nonsense. The author is upset that they have to choose between the three Kanto starter Pokemon for an optional side quest. That's it. And the article doesn't read as tongue-in-cheek. 031
Matt Bacon @mattabout.com · 02/09/2025I don't know why, but whenever I log onto Bluesky, my Discover page is inundated with selfies by men, for men. There's nothing wrong with that, if you're into it, but I'm not, and no matter how many posts I hide or film accounts I follow, they keep popping up. So I just tend to avoid this platform. 100

The Dropout subreddit, meanwhile, is one of the most obnoxious places on the fucking planet. Just a bunch of parasocial freaks policing each other for not fitting their mental image of what BLM would want. 121
