The MCU has almost always kept a nice midline. The only difference now is their worse stuff is louder. Despite being fucking boring Thor 1&2 at least for in-line with everything else. They were bad and quiet. Love & Thunder and Secret Invasion are bad and LOUD.

Forms the base of my thesis that Star Wars’ only true protagonist is “The Rebellion” ie whatever rebel force or entity is the “good guys” in whatever project it is. The individual dudes and dudettes are just branches on the real big picture battle between good an evil.

The story is about fusing together a family that’s already busted up at the beginning. If they lose one kid through no real fault of any character than it won’t feel as satisfying when they all link back up despite the long and horrible roads they each travelled to do so.

I assume it would be similar to how The Mist was received. I don’t think there’s time left to kill the Son and do it well. A death like that is HEAVY and would dramatically shift a lot of characters in the story, some we’ve spent a lot of time with and some we’ve never met. Not something for Act 3

A “Quiet Place: Day One” is my pitch for a movie that is profoundly sad yet also triumphant from start to finish. Not a horror movie, barely a thriller, it’s a Platonic Romance movie where the main character experiences the actual end of the world in perfect coordination with her personal end.

It’s a frustrating issue to talk about bc in some scenes the lighting and color are beyond perfect (The end of Popular, and especially the ballroom) Other times it’s very easy to tell when stuff is fake. Dancing through life is the most egregious example. The sun is behind literally every window.

The idea of vampirism is intrinsically connected to themes of temptation (especially those of a sexual nature). I haven’t seen every one but I can all but GUARANTEE every Vampire movie has this trope. If you make an entirely unsexy vampire movie, it won’t be a vampire movie.
