I agree an invasion is very unlikely. However, There are tens of thousands Australians in the lower gulf states. Pre-positioning some of our most capable troops on a shared UAE base to assist in the possible case of a broad or localised terrorist event affecting our people seems wise to me.

These new NSW AI deepfake laws make good sense to me. “A person can now go to prison for up to 3 years if they use AI to make sexually explicit deepfake images or videos of someone. The same punishment now also applies to anyone who shares – or even threatens to share – those images or videos”
