Weirdly, the 1st game to really freak me out was the ancient Scott Adams adventure The Count. Part of the map was too dark to explore and it had an original - for the time - where you could strike a match and it showed you the room description for a *fraction*of a second. All I caught was "Coffin"😱

I realise that's lots of disclaimer, but when I built a new rig in March I posted some fairly detailed results, explained the PC would only ever be used for gaming, and reiterated that frame rates are 10% better on Windows. And I STILL got a rando nurk telling me I would be just *fine* on Linux🙄

...average over several modern games. Yes, for modest hardware - especially memory limited handhelds like SteamDecks etc - I 𝘢𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 recommend SteamOS. You might be surprised just how much faster games run on it. Yes, compatibility layers like Proton are great & have come a very long way lately.

...PC coz frame rates are still about 10% better than Linux, which is 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 of important when I paid North of a grand for as many FPSes as possible. But I just play games on it. Anything else I'm using Linux on a laptop or, increasingly SteamDeck-Like & it feels as snappy as W on a good desktop PC🤷‍♂️

Oh gods yeah. I'm not pro Linux by any stretch of the imagination and there are a *lot* of benefits to using windows. But the last three years in particular have driven Windows' memory use up absurdly, even when I pull as much cruft out of the OS as humanly doable. I have Win 11 on my gaming...

They might be chemical, so each mask makes its own oxygen for 10 mins while everything on the plane fails and it drops out of the sky. Sodium chlorate plus iron or some such maybe🤔 Well. The passenger ones, anyway. I'm guessing it's important the flight crew had indefinite oxygen if they need it😅

Jynx was on a pretty stiff dose of steroids the last week. I ended up mixing them with butter and working it onto her coat on her legs every morning, hence her slightly bedraggled look😅 They helped though. She had more appetite, energy, and wanted to play. Her last few days were genuinely happy🥰
