Iron Nest: Heavy Turret Simulator is a really fun game that I've not heard anyone at KF talk about yet. You operate a giant artillery cannon by calculating enemy locations from intel and then set the artillery correctly and fire. Can't speak to it's overall length because I'm still early though.

I remember feeling similarly while playing Ghost of Tsushima, the whole game felt like the origin story of "The Ghost" to me. And the original Control reveal trailer had me going "Oh! It's a superhero game!" I wonder why we typically reserve the term for comic book characters though...

I finally completed my entire Tomb Raider series playthrough!! I really enjoyed Shadow of the Tomb Raider and consider it to be the best of the survivor trilogy! Visually, I think it's one of the best looking games even though it's now 8 years old. Now I can't wait for Legacy of Atlantis!!

Going off sale in the EU next year is really going to make beating the PS2 a lot more difficult for the Switch I feel. Will probably still get close but I don't think it will quite reach it after that announcement.

Like with Rise before it, I know very little about Shadow before I start it. Having not played Rise when it was coming out I actively avoided as much talk about it as I could. I'm really excited to finally play the game and then, ultimately, to have completed every game in the Tomb Raider franchise!

We're at the controversial one in my replay of the entire Tomb Raider franchise! Tomb Raider (2013) has it's fair share of haters and lovers. I loved it back in the day but has time been kind to this one? I now have just 2 games left in the series and I've played neither of them before! Can't wait!

Stayed up too late writing about my favourite Tomb Raider game, Underworld! This was a fun one to replay and I'm so glad it's stayed my favourite. I discuss the effect Uncharted may have had,why it's my favourite and how I'll take it's lessons into my future title! On to the Survivor Trilogy now!

I was especially surprised while playing through this game because it has a "Lara's first kill" moment which I thought was unique to Tomb Raider (2013). I'm very interested to compare the two once I get to that game but... Tomb Raider: Underworld is next and it's my favourite game in the series!

With Stranger Than Heaven, I think it would have been a good thing to have in there if it wasn't announced in the run up promising an "in-depth look" when the look we got was very surface level with a promise of an actual deep dive in 6 weeks. Deep dives for 1 or 2 games would have been nice too

For me it just lacked anything really exciting and a lot of the best stuff was already known and didn't reveal anything new. Goldman was a known quantity with a demo already available on steam, for example. Plus, the formula with the weird quiet recap moments feel unnecessary.

My Retrospective for Tomb Raider: Chronicles is now up! "Sometimes being bland is worse than being bad." I'm now 5 games out of 12 through my entire series playthrough and am finished with the PS1-era titles! What more can this series teach me for my own TR-inspired indie solo dev title!

I believe Japanese sets are usually smaller and so multiple of them are grouped into one of the Western sets. So yes, but it will have a different name and include another Japanese set

It's a very PS2-era game and I mean that very complimentarily! It's not super long either so not a huge time commitment which I also think is a great thing. I really loved it and was so happy to see the sequel get announced!
