Wow. The CAQ in Quebec went from having a majority government to having 0 seats. I know it happened in New Brunswick when Frank McKenna won every seat and wiped away the Tories, but that's got to be really rare.

1.) I feel like this guy was a Mets fixture and he made exactly 11 starts for them (he did start the post 9/11 return home, though) 2.) SEVENTEEN major league seasons with a lifetime 4.62 ERA. 3.) (I told Rutgers to piss off 3 months after I graduated when they sent me a bill for about $2K because they had "miscalculated" the tuition waiver amount of an assistantship I had. I sent them the check with a letter saying this would be the last dime I ever gave to Rutgers. And they haven't called.)

One of those lies that university administrators tell themselves is that an athletics program drives donations. Not only is the Rutgers athletic program losing money, I wonder how much Rutgers is losing in donations because people don't want their donations going towards this. #RURahRah

I went to a lot of games at Olympique. $4US, you could sit wherever you wanted except the first 12 rows. Those seats were $24US. You could shout at a player and know that he heard you.

I know a guy with this name, same spelling, too, and it took me a bit to remember why it was so familiar. Also, in the picture, he's wearing a Mets hat - he signed with the Mets in 2019, spent the whole year in AAA, and never appeared in the bigs for the actual Mets.

During the war, I had to spend about 2 hours on a construction site, and there's no way we were getting to the shelter in the ~90 seconds from sirens to impact (they wouldn't stop work and move on the early warning, which is another 2-3 minutes). I was muttering nomissiles nomissiles like a mantra

Wow. There are a ton of owner-operator Citations out there that are only viable because they're on single-pilot exemptions. You can buy them for a song, fly for the 8-10 years of engine hours remaining, and recover the parts value at the end. Wonder if this is a way to "scare straight" the training

PDS, Lawrenceville, and Hun play in a totally different stratosphere than the CVC when it comes to ice hockey. I think we played PDS once in a scrimmage. We either couldn't or wouldn't play Lawrenceville and Hun because they had postgrads. (19 year olds toughening up before college hockey.)

This entire league, btw, had produced exactly 1 (one) D1 hockey player up to that point (and possibly since) - a kid who had grown up in Canada, was the son of some sort of athlete, and who would have led the league in scoring if he was wearing roller skates.

I managed my HS hockey team. A dad got in my face once for not giving his kid enough assists and ruining his chance for a scholarship which 1.) the refs assign scoring and 2.) he was the second-line right wing on a .500 team in the second worst hockey conference in *New Jersey*
