When I was at Udacity, a female student wrote in “I’m not a feminist, but I love seeing women teaching these courses.” She felt like if they could do it, so could she. I was amazed, she was stating a clear benefit of feminism but at the same time rejecting it. Her mind had been poisoned.

Waymo exists to be a taxi service that doesn’t have to pay people to drive. Any reasons for Waymo outside of maximizing profit are better served by investing in public transportation. Fewer pedestrian casualties, less pollution, less traffic, healthier cities, etc.

Woke up with a migraine. Took my meds (imitrex) and all better. Every time I take it, I'm surprised by how well it works. I had migraines for years but just thought they were bad headaches. Usually I'd get nauseous, but last year I vomited for the first time. Accepted the headaches were migraines.

Been using ChatGPT to generate prototyping art for my card game. A few funny things: It wants characters facing to the left. Adult women are always either 20 or 60. Converges on Disney style. Disclaimer: It feels icky but it's also the perfect tool for what I'm working on now. Conflicted.

Been working on a TCG that is trying to improve on Magic. I'm learning a lot about card game design and trying to design my own cards. What I've found is that aside from a few historical things, Magic is brilliantly designed. Especially the last few standard sets.
