Whee! The last one! Quilla is another new character that started out a few months ago as a placeholder to get us to 64 contestants. I wanted to include an uncommon species, and I don't recall ever seeing a macro porcupine, so here we are. #sizesky #megamatch

Name: Quilla
Full Name / Alias(es): Quilla Brackenspine
Gender: female
Species: porcupine
Hair Color: brown
Eye Color: green
Birthday: Oct 9
Megamatch #: 63
Physical Characteristics: Brown color on limbs and back, lighter brown front. Brown quills covering back and shoulders.
Growth Method(s): channeled anger
Background: Quilla Brackenspine grew up in the forested highlands, heeding her calling to stay close to nature by becoming a surveyor and trail warden, much preferring the solitude of the wilderness to the noise of a crowded city. Beneath her calm exterior, however, lay a reservoir of frustration and suppressed temper, shaped from years of dealing with bureaucratic red tape, the attitude of those with no respect for the mountains, and an outside world that constantly tried to box her in. Her dormant abilities first manifested during a catastrophic rockslide that trapped her crew in a remote ravine. Overcome by a sudden, blinding surge of furious indignation at her helplessness, Quilla experienced a spike of raw emotional energy that flooded her being, causing her physical mass to expand dramatically alongside her quills as she effortlessly shattered the boulders threatening everyone’s safety.

Following that awakening, Quilla discovered the mechanics of her new gift–her size, density, and physical scaling are directly fueled by anger. When pushed to her emotional limits, the frustration and fury she experiences act as a powerful catalyst, allowing her to balloon from her standard stature into towering, room-shaking or city-spanning proportions. Seeking a structured, constructive outlet to harness these volatile surges rather than letting them jeopardize her daily life, she later entered the Megamatch league. Competing in the league serves as her ultimate form of anger management, providing her with a disciplined arena where she can legally and safely vent her accumulated grievances, test the upper thresholds of her immense scale, and turn he…

I only have two birbs in my cast, which we'll get to today. Here's the first. Whether she's laughing with you or at you, she's most probably laughing over you. #sizesky #megamatch

Name: Aurelia
Full Name / Alias(es): Aurelia Chrysaetos
Gender: female
Species: golden eagle
Hair Color: brown (feathers)
Eye Color: yellow
Birthday: Aug 21
Megamatch #: 56
Physical Characteristics: Brown feathers covering entire body. Has arms as well as wings. Hands and feet are yellow and talon-like with black claws.
Growth Method(s): laughter
Background: Aurelia hails from a proud race of avians known for their stoic ways and stern countenances. As she grew up among her people, she found the lessons of asceticism and suppression of emotion hard to learn, and she was admonished more than once for making faces or laughing at inopportune moments around her elders. As more and more of her clutch learned these lessons of growing up, however, she found less and less of a peer audience to share her mirth with, and she suppressed her joy and laughter.

After reaching adulthood, she was made part of a delegation to a neighboring land, secretly excited at the opportunity to see its different ways. She found a very expressive society, full of art, music…and humor. It was during a gathering to see her first movie that it happened. The comedy on the screen awoke her inner child, and all those years of pent-up laughter came to the surface, causing her to drop her guard and let them swell within her. She swelled physically as well as she pointed and laughed at the screen, her shadow rising up and blocking the screen from view by those behind her, much to everyone’s astonishment.

From that point on, laughter and growth were inexorably linked, and she continues to learn to control that previously latent ability. She is mostly successful, able to shift her size to match her desire or need, but a good joke or a tickle will still result in a very large laughing eagle more often than not. Her Megamatch opponents often find they’re being laughed at or laughed with during a fight, and either makes her more formidable.
Personality: Aurelia still adopts a subd…

Name: Ginger
Full Name / Alias(es): Ginger Quinlan
Gender: female
Species: Eternian tiger
Hair Color: green
Eye Color: yellow
Birthday: Mar 21
Megamatch #: 27
Physical Characteristics: Green fur covering body. Yellow stripes. 6’ 8” normal size.
Growth Method(s): perspective observation
Background: Ginger hails from a reality-bending sector of Eternia where the laws of physics bend to sentient awareness. She can take whatever size she seems to be from an observer’s point of view. If an observer were lying on the floor, for example, and genuinely registered her as towering a hundred feet tall, reality shifts her height to match their perspective instantly like a size-changing Schrodinger’s Cat . Embracing this bizarre metaphysical trait, she entered the Megamatch league to test just how large (and how formidable) her opponents might be able to make her.
Personality: Ginger is outgoing, theatrical, and exceptionally mindful of how she presents herself. She loves playing with psychology and manipulation, often using dramatic poses and optical illusions to trick rivals into viewing her as an insurmountable titan before the match even begins.

In the home stretch on these! Speaking of stretch, have a couple of stretchy wolves in a two-fer today! (Astute observers may have noticed I kinda have a thing for macro inflatables.) #sizesky #megamatch

Name: Arianna
Full Name / Alias(es): Arianna Delacroix
Gender: female
Species: wolf
Hair Color: white
Eye Color: blue
Birthday: Nov 30
Megamatch #: 19
Physical Characteristics: Shiny white latex skin. Prefers pink clothing. 5’ 10” base height.
Growth Method(s): inflation
Background: Arianna’s nature as an inflatable being led her and her twin brother Maximus to find careers as stuntpeople. Due to their adjustable proportions and extreme durability, they make excellent stand-ins for scenes involving falls, explosions, or anything else too dangerous for the actors to portray. That same durability allows them to grow to towering sizes as well, eliminating the need for special effects for monster movies!

They both joined Megamatch to showcase that stretchability and to make themselves more visible in a role where they are recognized as themselves instead of pretending to be someone else.
Personality: Arianna is meticulous, theatrical, and fiercely ambitious. While she loves the adrenaline rush of a high-impact stunt, Arianna is the brains behind the siblings' routines, carefully timing her expansions and bounces with dramatic flair. She relishes finally being in the spotlight rather than hiding behind a character's mask, using her charisma and oversized presence to command the arena and play directly to the roaring crowd.

Name: Maximus
Full Name / Alias(es): Maximus Delacroix
Gender: male
Species: wolf
Hair Color: white
Eye Color: blue
Birthday: Nov 30
Megamatch #: 35
Physical Characteristics: Shiny white latex skin. Prefers blue clothing. 6’ 2” base height.
Growth Method(s): inflation
Background: Maximus’ nature as an inflatable being led him and his twin sister Arianna to find careers as stuntpeople.

Personality: Maximus is boisterous, relentlessly high-energy, and a bit of a ham when he gets a chance to act. Maximus treats every match like an action blockbuster where he finally gets top billing. He loves absorbing massive hits, puffing up to colossal proportions, and bouncing back with a theatrical grin, thoroughly enjoying the freedom of stepping out from behind the scenes and into his own well-earned fame.

Sometimes just a basic dragon is all you need. He's allowed to make a little scratch on the side, y'know? #sizesky #megamatch

Name: Tyrdor
Full Name / Alias(es): Tyrdor Shael’kor
Gender: male
Species: dragon
Hair Color: light green
Eye Color: yellow
Birthday: Apr 26
Megamatch #: 13
Physical Characteristics: Green limbs and back. Lighter green front. Two white horns on head. Tall, lithe form with moderate muscle tone. 6’ 9” normal height. Prefers blue clothing.
Growth Method(s): natural ability
Background: Tyrdor grew up with an independent streak, not caring much for the typical dragon social circles and lifestyles, and he sought out other experiences away from home. He realized early on the potential of making a living in a world not accustomed to dragons, creating profiles on social media, employment, and streaming sites to highlight his unique attributes. He’s as happy to come help you uproot that pesky dead tree stump from your yard as he is to arrange a more…intimate display of his talents, if that’s more your thing.

Megamatch was the perfect vehicle for his plan to gain some exposure, maybe land a few gigs, and perhaps a few more after-hours clients!
Personality: Tyrdor is the definition of “laid-back.” He likes to joke and show off, and he’s certainly not above putting on act to emulate whatever scenario a client may desire. In Megamatch, he tends to be one of the more performative contestants, giving those knowing glances, smiles, and winks to the camera whenever he’s the focus.

Gloria I think they got your number, I think they got the alias That you've been living under, But you really don't remember. Was it something that they said? Are the voices in your head calling, Gloria? She probably gets tired of people singing that song at her. #sizesky #megamatch

Name: Gloria
Full Name / Alias(es): Gloria Vandermere
Gender: female
Species: cheetah
Hair Color: blonde
Eye Color: blue
Birthday: Sep 20
Megamatch #: 52
Physical Characteristics: Yellow fur with black spots on limbs and back. White front. Distinctive cheetah tear markings on face. 6’ 4” normal height.
Growth Method(s): kinetic energy absorption
Background: Born into wealth as the heir to an elite industrial dynasty, Gloria spent her early life smothered by high-society expectations, luxury, and rigid protocol. Her latent size-changing ability manifested unexpectedly during an exclusive corporate gala when she accidentally absorbed the ambient kinetic energy of a large-scale architectural model centerpiece, instantly towering over the estate ballroom, much to her family’s embarrassment. Treated as the black sheep of the family thereafter and desperate to escape a gilded cage that felt increasingly suffocating anyway, she channeled her share of her family's resources into companies such as ZQI to help her control her newfound ability. Upon learning of Megamatch, she joined to test her limits and further distance herself from her family, treating the colossal scale and exposure of the league as the ultimate liberation from her pedigree.
Personality: Gloria uses an affected aristocratic demeanor in matches, effusing an effortless, haughty elegance and theatrical nonchalance toward her opponents with witty remarks. Below the surface lies a fiercely competitive thrill-seeker, eager to push her boundaries using the unbridled chaos of the arena to shed her family's expectations and prove her worth on her own colossal terms. Outside of matches, she projects a more humble, down-to-earth demeanor, happy to meet fans, sign autographs, and help her fellow contestants however she can.

I mean, it wouldn't be a game roster without one actual god roaming around in there somewhere, would it? #sizesky #megamatch

Name: Fenryr
Full Name / Alias(es): Fenrir / Fenris Wolf
Gender: male
Species: black wolf
Hair Color: black
Eye Color: green
Birthday: unknown
Megamatch #: 25
Physical Characteristics: Entire body is jet black. Quite muscular. Prefers blue clothing.
Growth Method(s): natural state, willpower, kinetic absorption, solar absorption, worship
Background: Fenryr is the modern incarnation of the monstrous wolf Fenrir of Norse mythology, taking a new mantle as god of inexorable growth and breaking bounds. He is constantly growing, though his natural rate is slow enough that it often can’t be seen directly. He will become quite noticeably bigger throughout the course of an evening or afternoon, or even an hour.

He can also, of course, speed that growth up through a few methods. He has the ability to transfer kinetic energy into himself to power his growth, and as a nod to his Norse mythological figure roots, he can “eat” solar energy and use it to accelerate his growth. His deific nature facilitates growth through worship, and if all else fails, he can just simply change his own size, though that is his least-favorite method.

Fenryr joined Megamatch to keep an eye on its contestants, helping to foster their abilities where he can and showing what uncontained growth can accomplish.
Personality: Fenryr has an aura of barely-tamed energy and a sharp wit, treating every obstacle like a flimsy chain waiting to be snapped. He is quite intimidating on first meeting him, though he has a deep respect for those who refuse to stay small or accept their limits.

What to do if you're a dragon whose desire for greatness is only matched by your incompetence? You name yourself Ginorma and forge ahead! #sizesky #megamatch

Name: Ginorma
Full Name / Alias(es): Ginevra Lok’nar
Gender: female
Species: dragon
Hair Color: blonde
Eye Color: green
Birthday: Sep 4
Megamatch #: 28
Physical Characteristics: Green scales on limbs and back, yellow scales on front. Green wings. White horns. Spaded tail. 7’ 0” normal height.
Growth Method(s): magic
Background: Born into an ancient lineage of hoarders, Ginerva found traditional treasures like gold and jewels profoundly boring in the modern age, pivoting her obsession entirely toward physical magnitude and cosmic scale. Attempting to hoard size itself, she spends her days casting increasingly reckless arcane growth rituals on herself and anything else she can get her claws on. Her grand ambitions involve growing to a size that would allow her to tower over skyscrapers and command absolute city-wide dominance, though her lack of competence and concentration usually results in her knocking over her own supply closets or accidentally getting wedged between city blocks.

Seeing Megamatch as the perfect opportunity to show off her hoard (and perhaps to steal someone else’s size in the process), she adopted the stage name “Ginorma” as one that would be fittingly menacing, never realizing that she may have missed the mark on its ability to incite fear.
Personality: Ginevra is aggressively megalomaniacal, frequently practicing elaborate throne-room speeches to imaginary subjects and demanding that everyone around her acknowledge her supreme draconic majesty. Beneath her booming, self-important exterior, however, she is delightfully inept, easily distracted by anything big, and prone to losing her train of thought mid-threat or her strategy mid-fight. This goofy, scatterbrained incompetence completely sabotages her dark lord aspirations, turning her grand conquests into slapstick catastrophes where she is far more likely to accidentally trap herself in a doorway than successfully conquer a city.

Name: Sheena
Full Name / Alias(es): Sheena Eversea
Gender: female
Species: snow leopard
Hair Color: blonde
Eye Color: blue
Birthday: Nov 14
Megamatch #: 42
Physical Characteristics: Off-white, greyish fur covering limbs and back with dark grey rosettes. White front. Favors pink clothing. 5’ 8” normal size.
Growth Method(s): natural ability
Background: Rising from indie venues to headline arenas alongside her band, Expanding Horizons, Sheena uses her innate ability to grow to give her concerts an extra level of spectacle. Transforming size manipulation into high-concept performance art, she stages multimedia events fueled by chart-topping macro-anthem hit singles such as "Bigger! Bigger! Bigger!," "Looking Down At The World," and "Watch My Step." Her size surges with the music, and every chorus physically elevates her to gigantic proportions, perfectly matching the larger-than-life themes of her music.
Personality: Sheena is charismatic and theatrical when she is performing in a concert or in a Megamatch bout. Offstage, she is grounded, warm, and deeply dedicated to practicing her dual crafts of singing and competing, sharing a playful camaraderie with her fellow performers.

Two performing kitties today. First up, our current Megamatch champion, Barbara! #megamatch #sizesky

Name: Barbara
Full Name / Alias(es): Barbara Calloway
Gender: female
Species: bobcat
Hair Color: brown with pink highlights
Eye Color: green
Birthday: Oct 14
Megamatch #: 57
Physical Characteristics: Tawny limbs with black spots, white front. Tufted ears, short bobbed tail. Cheerleading uniform is blue and orange.
Growth Method(s): willpower (natural shifter), also grows when excited
Background: Barbara is a senior student and varsity cheerleader at Vermilion Ridge State University (VRSU). Barbara led a relatively normal campus life until a high-stakes homecoming pep rally. Overwhelmed by the roar of the stadium and her own boundless enthusiasm, her latent growth abilities suddenly activated, causing her to tower over the bleachers. After some initial embarrassment and practice using her newfound power, she quickly became the official giant-sized ambassador and living landmark for her school's athletic league.

Barbara happily joined Megamatch to network and perhaps find a mentor in the giant field. She always entertains during her matches, coming up with cheers to psyche (and grow) herself up!
Personality: Barbara embodies the typical cheerleader: outgoing, loyal, and relentlessly enthusiastic. She is a natural-born leader who thrives in front of a crowd and uses her towering stature not just to awe spectators, but to genuinely lift everyone’s spirits. Megamatch competitors are often taken aback the first time she gives them a personalized cheer after losing to them. Off the field, she is approachable and surprisingly grounded despite her capacity to grow to monumental proportions!

YAW! (Yet another wolf!) CW: inflation, popping

Name: Wendi
Full Name / Alias(es): Wendilyn Carson
Gender: female
Species: grey wolf
Hair Color: grey
Eye Color: green
Birthday: Oct 31
Megamatch #: 15
Physical Characteristics: shiny grey skin over entire body, prefers wearing pink clothing with sandals
Growth Method(s): inflation
Background: Wendilyn was once a fiercely cautious, risk-averse wallflower who treated life like a finely audited ledger. She avoided high-risk situations, rejected spontaneity, and lived by a strict personal creed: If a boundary exists, it is there for a reason. That philosophy drew the ear of a mischievous mage who overheard Wendilyn lamenting a risk she was forced to take at a bar one night. Deciding that the best way to teach someone the value of pushing limits was to make those limits quite literally tangible, the mage placed a peculiar, whimsical curse upon her.
Overnight, Wendilyn's was changed into an inflatable version of herself, appearing as she normally did, just…shinier. Her new composition was much more fragile than her previous one, and it wasn’t long before the inevitable happened; after bumping against the sharp corner of a table accidentally, she popped. Fortunately, the effects of the curse kicked in, and she reformed, much to her surprise. She soon learned the rules of the curse:
She came back as a different species than she was immediately before.
She came back at a random size, somewhere between 1-6 feet tall.
If she exploded due to overinflation, her maximum size was increased next time.
Over time, she adapted to these rules, and the first one gradually faded; she spent less and less time as other species until she finally remained a wolf with each reset. So far, the other two rules remain in effect.
Personality: Having survived dozens of reforms and countless structural makeovers, Wendilyn begrudgingly learned the lesson the sorcerer intended at first, but she has taken to it more and more as time has progressed. No longer defined by caution, she …

Another wolf! (There are a lot of wolves.) #megamatch #sizesky

Name: Roxanna
Full Name / Alias(es): Roxanna Ardmore
Gender: female
Species: grey wolf
Hair Color: silver
Eye Color: green
Birthday: April 21
Megamatch #: 38
Physical Characteristics: long hair, uniform grey over her entire body. Prefers black clothing.
Growth Method(s): magic, physical exertion
Background: Roxanna always looked at the natural world not as something delicate to be preserved, but as a dynamic canvas of raw, unrestrained expansion. While traditional druids sought harmony through quiet stewardship, she saw ancient forests as a testament to relentless physical growth with their massive oaks and towering canopies built layer upon layer. Inspired, she began fusing traditional earth magic with rigorous conditioning workouts, discovering that building muscle and growth magic could act as powerful mutual catalysts. By channeling natural forces directly into her physical frame, she unlocked a unique discipline capable of pushing her biological boundaries far beyond normal limits, allowing her to grow to giant sizes!
Personality: Roxanna carries herself with an unshakeable, quiet intensity, rarely wasting energy on idle chatter or anything else she sees as a distraction. Her demeanor is deeply stoic; she is grounded, observant, and almost entirely immune to the emotional turbulence or drama around her. Whether she is enduring the punishing strain of a heavy lifting session or channeling complex growth magic to shift her physical mass, she approaches her goals with single-minded discipline and absolute focus. Beneath that calm, monolithic exterior lies an unyielding ambition, driven by a silent, burning determination to push her body and spirit to be the biggest they can be. This makes her a relentless competitor in Megamatch, one that her opponents often find they have to wear down before they have any chance of victory.

Today the space kitties want their turn, apparently. Here's the one that hasn't made it into a story yet. #megamatch #sizesky

$Name: Leah Full Name / Alias(es): Leah M’Grerr Gender: female Species: white lion / Caitian Hair Color: white Eye Color: blue Birthday: Oct 4 Megamatch #: 33 Physical Characteristics: Solid white body, save for black tailtip, black ears, and black nose. Has long, mane-like hair. Favors pink clothing. Quite muscular and broad-shouldered, 8’ 2” normal height. Growth Method(s): willpower (growth ability developed through exposure to radiation) Background: Born to a Terran lioness mother and Caitian father, Leah is a xenogeologist serving on board the space-faring vessel Eventide. Her natural large size and strength make her well-suited for surveying in high-gravity environments. While surveying an asteroid drifting in the Ophiuchus Cloud, Leah discovered an anomalous, pulsating meteor embedded deep within the rock. Unlike any geological sample she had previously encountered, the meteor emitted a rhythmic, hum-like vibration that resonated perfectly with her hybrid physiology. As she attempted to extract the core sample, the meteor fractured, releasing a cloud of iridescent, crystalline dust. Leah was enveloped in the cloud, absorbing the energy directly into her bloodstream. The resulting bio-fusion altered her cellular structure, allowing her to manipulate her physical mass and scale by tapping into the energy she absorbed from the meteor. Personality: Despite her intimidating stature, Leah is known for a soft-spoken, analytical demeanor. She possesses the deep, rhythmic purr characteristic of her lion and Caitian lineages, a sound which tends to vibrate through the ship’s comms whenever she is particularly satisfied with a mineral find. She sometimes gets a bit full of herself and enjoys showing off her ability, but she is deeply protective of her crewmates, often positioning herself as a literal shield during away missions.$

Guess we should get mine out of the way. #megamatch #sizesky

Name: Mataki
Full Name / Alias(es): Mataki Kitchi’iwin, She Who Grows
Gender: female
Species: brown wolf
Hair Color: brown
Eye Color: yellow
Birthday: July 31
Megamatch #: 6
Physical Characteristics: uniform brown color over entire body, slightly darker hair. Favors yellow clothing, sometimes wears blue-and-yellow ZQI gear
Growth Method(s): willpower (ability gained from overexposure to growth rays)
Background: In the mid ‘90s, Mataki landed a job at Zero Quality Industries, a company run by Zero Wolfe, to demonstrate a size-changing device at trade shows. After repeated exposure to the device, she developed the ability to change her size at will, an ability she worked on as hard as she could while still employed at ZQI. By the time she was discovered, she had absorbed enough of the energy to allow her to reach tremendous sizes.

Over the last few decades, she has grown more and more adept and powerful in her size-changing abilities, assisted others with their own journeys, and eventually discovered alternate selves in other dimensions and developed a hive consciousness with them.

She helped create Megamatch as a way to showcase growth as a competitive sport among those that find it fascinating, and she serves as the current commissioner.
Personality: Initially quite greedy and fixated on her size journey, she has mellowed out in recent years and adopted a more laid-back attitude. She enjoys her place in history and is content to watch new talent, helping where she can, but she’s always happy to talk about growth!

Heh, this one turned into a bit of a short short story in the background section. Whoops! #megamatch #sizesky

Name: Gehenna
Full Name / Alias(es): Gehenna
Gender: female
Species: fox succubus
Hair Color: blonde
Eye Color: blue
Birthday: none
Megamatch #: 26
Physical Characteristics: white front, red limbs, black hands and feet, two white horns on head, large black bat wings, long red dragon-like tail with spade at the end. Favors black clothing.
Growth Method(s): Primarily grows via the thoughts and desires of others; the bigger and more intensely others picture her, the bigger she grows. Additional methods can manifest according to what those desires contain. She has become partial to inflation.
Background: Gehenna arose as the result of an occult project in the early twentieth century, a project to create a being to serve as a muse of the arcane, able to assist with spells and rituals without the need to find and search for the relevant information. While she was filled with a great deal of knowledge from a multitude of tomes, she was also given the power to explore the minds of those running the project directly in an effort to speed up the process of teaching her. She found much in their minds other than knowledge, and she learned to use their desires in order to make her situation more comfortable.

One day, a new acolyte arrived to assist the project. He became quite smitten with Gehenna, and having an affinity for giantess fantasies, he naturally began to picture her as one. Once she read his thoughts and found the augmented visions of her, she delved deeper, asking him to picture her becoming one. To the amazement of both, she was able to replicate the process in reality. This then became her primary focus, and she developed her new talent as much as she could.
Once her new ability was discovered, the project runners feared her power, and the project was closed hastily. While her physical form was nullified, a fragment of her spirit remained, seeking a new opportunity to find another audience that would allow her to again manifest herself.

Here's Samantha's info! I think I have the format down on these that I'm going to use, and thanks to an idea from @vulpesmaximus.bsky.social , I've started including some Megamatch information. #megamatch #sizesky

Name: Samantha
Full Name / Alias(es): Dr. Samantha Shepherd
Gender: female
Species: German shepherd
Hair Color: blonde
Eye Color: green
Birthday: Jun 16
Megamatch #: 9
Physical Characteristics: Blonde/golden front and inner limbs, dark brown back and outer limbs, dark muzzle. Favors pink clothing. Original height was 5’ 8” before experiment.
Growth Method(s): food consumption / energy absorption
Background: Dr. Samantha Shepherd is a scientist and researcher at Bartok Technologies whose development of a matter teleportation system led to an unforeseen physical transformation. During her initial teleportation test, her DNA was rewritten in a way that caused her to start growing, and her growing body demanded food. While her situation has stabilized, she retains the ability to grow through consumption of matter or energy.

She uses Megamatch to provide an outlet for her body’s need to grow, allowing her to expend its energy in a creative way and to avoid having to do so in other less desirable situations. She and fellow Megamatch competitor Titania have developed an intense rivalry due to their shared experiences at Bartok.
Personality: Samantha’s personality shifts between friendly and easygoing, when her body’s energy spikes are low, to intense and direct when she feels her body’s desire to expand start to build. Her decision-making becomes decidedly less altruistic the larger–and/or hungrier–she becomes.
