To further elaborate, cassette tapes use electromagnetic signals from the magnetic tape and the tape players "sensors" to play back audio, this adapter cuts out the middle man (magnetic tape) and directly passes the audio signal (electrical) to the tape player sensors

I can answer this 🤣 Car cassette adapters convert the audio signals coming through the aux cable into a magnetic field that the car’s cassette player reads like a real cassette tape It basically tricks the cassette player into thinking it’s still playing a cassette
