More on my #PrEP experiences. Something I learned about Yeztugo I did not know in advance: It works for 6 months because it is a very viscous liquid that sits in subcutaneous pockets that very slowly are absorbed into the body. Those grape-sized pockets stay around 10-12 months.

After running into issues with my primary care provider (PCP), after 3 months I was able start on #PrEP this week, going through my local county health services. I’m on Yeztugo, which is just injections every 6 months. I wanted to describe my experiences for others’ benefit. 🧵
