Now I'm thinking about the temporary ascension (again) in terms of Zeta's lore. Or rather, due to the premise I've set up for them, I don't even know if they *can* Ascend. It's something I've been stuck on a while trying to figure out how to best adjust for their timeline.

It'd have to happen post-VoE, but they already have parallels to each other. There's similar starting points of frustration with the Rata Sum colleges hindering actions intended to be helpful...and then WILDLY diverge from there Bonus points for a confused Zeta in the background going okay? sure???

Oh the stat change for the skin unlock if nothing else is SO smart. But for real! Of course ascended crafting gets a bit easier with time, but it's still expensive! Meanwhile I have an alt whose inventory is almost full *just* from the pile of shame alone 💀

3) Lastly, Zeta essentially starts off as a rogue asuran AI that dredges up old fears from the Great Golem Uprising of 1284 - the same one that Snaff is implied to have been involved in, likely having lost control of some of his golems. All in all, I'm sure Zojja's going to absolutely love this :D

1) Zeta literally doesn't even *exist* until the start of S3 when Zojja's still in her early recovery from HoT. She's never even met this new commander. There's absolutely no shared past comradery to go off of.

After that, pretty typical scarring for comms following canon: nearly cleaved in twain from the shoulder diagonally by Balthazar, a chest wound from Bangar's arrow, and the one that took the most adjustment—losing her lower right leg at the battle in Thunderhead Peaks. (also rip, old art alert)

Falx on the other hand? :)) She was already in her late 20s at the start of the personal story with a collection of scars from the fahrar and just being a charr in the Legions. Most notable are some shrapnel scars on her arms and shoulder, deep gouges across her face, and a previously busted jaw.

I'll answer this in two parts, one for Zeta and another for Falx. For Zeta? None that are notable - while it tries to minimize the cloned bodies it goes through in combat (and otherwise) so as to not waste resources, it does churn through them fast enough that none have any *major* scarring.

Zeta could be interested in something, but they also literally process emotions differently. Any reciprocation on their part is never going to be 1:1 to how others experience it. They do have something ~weird~ going on with Sebb in early VoE (and maybe the wiz later if I'm feeling super indulgent)

Keeping this short but one last note: while it's not an official co-commander or separate commander/wayfinder situation, Jhiaxxi is heavily involved in major story events (even handling certain ones on her own), and the two, after some development, are rarely seen too far apart in current day.

Closely related is their maker Jhiaxxi, who later acts as a mentor and steward to her accidental creation. Accident or not, this Dr. Frankenstein isn't going to abandon her monster. She left the colleges years ago due to frustration, has personal beef with the Inquest, and is always, Always Tired.

Little Zeta intro since they're the main blorbo from my brain rn She exists in a timeline where the og comm died during HoT. In S3, she started as an Asuran alert system that became self-aware, went rogue, and biohacked a mordrem clone body to experience the world and generally cause problems with.
