這週國際上與「數位身分」相關的專家幾乎都簽署了同一份聲明，這份聲明叫做《拒絕回傳》（No Phone Home）。有專家發現數位駕照標準（ISO mDL）可以在使用者不知情的前提下打開回傳資料的後門，連標準貢獻者也沒發現這個問題。但是 mDL 已經被廣泛使用於各國數位身分政策及 Iphone、Android 手機服務中，因此許多國際組織連署呼籲各國政府重視此數位人權議題。概念很簡單，不知情的政府數位官員不小心裝了後門，很有可能在未來成為威權政府的共犯，最終變成「平庸的邪惡」。 matters.town/a/1xp4o3xvbmfg

全球資訊網協會（W3C）近日終於通過了第二版的可驗證憑證標準。這是一部和解大戲，為了讓新世代的「數位身分」或「數位憑證」更簡單易懂的推向全世界，因此與第一代憑證標準相比，收攏了各個標準制定組織的內容。如曾經吵架分裂出去，到 IETF 發展的選擇性揭露憑證（SD-JWT VC），與語意網路（semantic web）源流而產生的、W3C 自家主推的 JSON-LD，都納入標準。這是因為 IETF 的標準已經被歐盟採納，JOSN-LD 即使新穎先進，仍然沒有太多主權實體使用（印象中加拿大卑詩省是用這套）。真是可喜可賀！ matters.town/a/4n8iorerr37n
