I really hope ppl know it is never too late to start drawing, there is no wrong way to draw, and that talent is a learning process and it is going to be messy, rough and tough but also FUN, EXPERIMENTAL, AND WORTH IT! PLEASE DRAW IF YOU WANT TO! ONLY YOU CAN CREATE THE ART YOU MAKE!!

Seen a meme on Twitter that I wanted to redraw with Argenthill :p #argenthill #bootgenti #rosesandrevolvers

Aventurine with a hysterical expression, grabbing Argenti and yelling "SIX KIDS?!! OH MY GOD GET OFF OF HIM". Argenti has a blank smile on his face and his pregnant husband Boothill is just confused.

Collage piece of Argenti as a tea bunny! Was inspired by the Tea Bunny toys from the 90s and wanted to draw my favorite blorbo sitting in a tea cup full of pretty flowers :3c #argentifanart #argentihsr #argenti

A collage piece of Argenti with a top hat and bunny ears sitting inside a giant teacup. He is surrounded by flowers and holding a cup of tea.

Artist propaganda I’m not falling for (and you shouldn’t either):

ARTIST PROPAGANDA I'M NOT FALLING FOR:
X Pulling
all-nighters to make art proves you’re dedicated to your craft
X True artists draw every single day
X Only make friends with fellow artists cuz they’ll get you gigs someday
X Freelancing is for artists who can't get a "real" studio job
X Drawing fanart is cringe
X Your portfolio should only have what studios want to see

If you use ai you intellectually and mentally lazy. That’s all. You are lazy. Ai makes art free. No. AI robs you of learning how to do something. In learning how to do something you develop your voice. You are asking ai to speak for you because you are too lazy to face yourself

This kind of avenue is being choked from like 4 different directions at once. Industry professionals are being pushed to sell due to inconsistent employment. Pre-pandemic businesses are stuck in a high investment. Freelancers are getting fewer opportunities. Con organizers are also getting greedier!

my art is imperfect, let's keep it that way. fuck AI

(Vintage walkman ad)
AI is bullshit. Stop using it.
I've been noticing the rise and normalcy of AI "art" in all facets of my life. his is unacceptable. It's gross, and we should see less of it.

AI is anti-art
Art is created by living beings capable of free thought. Computers do not have the necessary experience to create meaningful art ever.

AI is anti-artist
People spend years developing their craft, their style, their sound. That is thrown out the window with AI. You cannot be authentic with AI art. Ever.

Fuck off.
You are actively using up natural resources (mainly water) to generate that shitty "image" of a dragon. We're already losing the climate battle, don't feed into it.

On a similar note, "your first sketch/idea is never your best" is one of the worst pieces of advice I've ever gotten. I wasted a lot of time and energy forcing myself past concepts that I felt strongly about because I was made to believe a better one was out there. Often there just wasn't one.
