The diesel won’t matter (except to Putin). The withdrawal of support to Ukraine matters more. Trump pushing the US into an alignment with Putin matters a great deal. But I believe the people will push back on Trump if he attempts to go that far.

For Trump, it wasn’t about diesel prices, imo. He wanted to camouflage channeling (US taxpayer $, I think) funds to Putin to help him fund his war. This will also enable Russia to assist Iran target Americans, and Trump could care less. GOP lawmakers should see through this, but they remain silent!

The dirty deal was made weeks ago, perhaps when Witkoff and Kushner were in Moscow early last month. The shadow tanker left St Petersburg on 22 September, carrying Russian diesel, and will arrive in North Carolina tomorrow. The phone call was a ruse to cover their tracks. They’re in cahoots!

Exactly! The “deal“ preceded the “for show” phone call by weeks. Probably already worked out by Kushner and Witkoff before they arrived in Kyiv for their performative visit. In fact, the shadow tanker left Russia just when Trump started to wrongly blame Zelenskyy for the rise in diesel prices. 😉

It won’t change things, but it wasn’t more than half of US voters who voted for him. More people voted for someone else than voted for him, but their vote was spread across multiple candidates, enabling his victory. And here we are now, paying the price.
