Honestly, especially with the wave of nationalism around the world, I'm a bit wary of the tendency to be proud of one's own nation as a principle. Be proud of people. Be proud of what they accomplished. There are many PEOPLE who did, and do, commendable things in the US.

People who are complaining about season 4 of #TheBear, I have no idea what you are talking about. This show continues to make me laugh and cry more than almost any other show I've seen in the last few years. It is, more than anything, one of the most HUMAN shows out there.

What is important, after this US regime falls, is not to just blindly trust that "common sense" and the "voters" will protect the constitution. There must be additional checks and balances and barriers. It is clear the office of the president holds too much power, and some of it must be stripped.

So after trump one-sidedly announced a ceasefire, promising it is a "beautiful ceasefire that will last forever", and that the two countries "will never shoot at each other ever", Iranian missiles are already being fired. He truly is as stupid as he is incompetent.

The article covers a lot of the hardships we went through during #veilguard but to me, they almost didn't matter - because we went through all of it as a team. The spirit of camaraderie in the systems team was legendary. That, to me, is the biggest heartache from all of this. I miss my found family.

I have a lot of friends and family, even those on the left-leaning side and even ex-Israelis. All claim how "ridiculous" Greta Thunberg is, and her "silly" claims she was kidnapped by the IDF. At least she is fighting for what she believes in, which is more than I can say for many.

So Blair was correct - this is tied to specific companions in the party, coupled with their favored enemies. So Davrin fighting Darkspawn in Hossberg, etc. However, this only happens during significant, large encounters that also grant a lot of XP.

Seeing my son play #veilguard is such a bitter-sweet experience. This is his first RPG, and he is so full of joy as part of the discovery and exploration, so fascinated by the universe and everything he sees. Harding seems to be his favorite so far. He has good taste.
