it's 5 months later and i'm just gonna call it right now: this is my song of the year

011

Marv (she/her) @marvdrew.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

omg at the very least watch it for the music to see if you like it! the singing starts off a little silly ngl and i was super doubtful at first, but then BAM! episode 9 hits and the song Fuyunohanashi is so emotionally intense and now its my 9th most listened-to song ever lol

010

Marv (she/her) @marvdrew.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

What scene makes you emotional no matter how many times you see it? 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃

a photo of Merlin and Arthur played by Colin Morgan and Bradley James in the 2008-2012 BBC series "Merlin". In the photo the two are sitting on some grass. Merlin is behind a fatally wounded Arthur propping him up. Arthur is in full armor and is saying "Just - just hold me... please." This scene is from the final episode of the show (which happened to air on Christmas Eve 2012 so it completely RUINED my holidays that year)

Another image from the Merlin finale. In this one Merlin is laying Arthur down on the grass gently, cradling Arthur's head, their faces are really close together.

did any other people have one of these old phones growing up? was that normal for the 90's or was my family just different lolol

an image of three ericofons in a light green, red, and light blue. they're a weird looking phone that is in one piece and they kinda sit upright with the buttons on the bottom

shadow at the waters edge! i have such nostalgia for it (and i also love nonograms a lot. like a weird flex of mine is that i can solve the final nonogram puzzle so fast lol). The atrocious accents and Nancy's invasiveness i could do without, but i have so much love for every other part of this game

this september marks exactly 2 years without a dog and i genuinely don't know how i've survived lol. (i always had dogs before that, but getting one just isn't feasible for me right now. i do still check the local animal shelter's website every day just to look though. is that sad or what)

Mr. Vampire is not Itzy's best song by a long shot so someone tell me why it's genuinely a personal favorite of mine and i still listen to it all the time????? like i swear i'm this song's number one fan lol

forgot to add this but every winter my dad always jokes that he's going to "whip some shitties in the parking lot" so i grew up with that phrase even though i know it's more commonly called "donuts"

A screenshot of text that says the following:

What gave you away - answers that point strongly to Minnesota.

What do you call the activity of driving around in circles in a car? - whipping shitties

What is your generic term for a sweetened carbonated beverage? - pop

Crayon - [ae] as in "man" (i syllable, "cran")

Would you say "Are you coming with?" as a full sentence, to mean "Are you coming with us?" - yes

as someone who was born in Minnesota and practically never leaves, this checks out lol

a map of the USA from the mydialect.us quiz where there is mostly red in Minnesota spreading towards the states west/NW, and then the South east is blue showing that my dialect is very different from these states

looking at old photos and i noticed that in 2011/2012 my signature look was a a brown jacket, a red scarf, and some sort of blue shirt, because i'm literally wearing that combo in every other photo, so i'm like huh ok weird but then i remembered who i had been trying to look like......

Bbc Merlin Merlin Spin

Alt: my apparent fashion muse in 2011/2012, Merlin from BBC Merlin played by Colin Morgan. This gif of him is a series of photos of him standing from all angles in front of a white backdrop ending with him posing. he's wearing a blue shirt, a red kerchief, brown pants, a skinny brown belt, boots, and a brown jacket.

omg is that a woodcock? bc funnily enough i got to see one do their mating ritual earlier this year which involves spiraling quickly towards the ground at dusk (i had been looking for owls at the time but saw one of these instead lmao) also have you seen how they walk???

omg i found a bunch of collages i'd made of some of my Sims in 2019-2021 and i'm like huh these Sims aren't half bad lol anyway i felt like sharing, so here's Nancy Drew, Edward and Jacob, Jean Kirschtein, and some Animal Crossing characters! (i'm sad i no longer have all this CC tho 😭)

a collage of my Nancy Drew sims with the phrases "it's locked" "haven't checked that off yet" "hmmm..." and "Interesting!" interspersed between them.

my edward cullen and jacob black sims (from Twilight obvi but i guess i was going for more book accuracy)

my sim of Jean Kirschtein. The upper left has a screenshot of young jean from the anime while the top right is my Sim of jean. Then on the bottom left is my post-timeskip Jean sim while the bottom right is an image of post-timeskip Jean from the manga.

some animal crossing characters as Sims! I made Harv, Wilbur, Tom Nook, and Redd.

i just remember that my EMDR therapist kept telling me to focus on visualizing memories and stuff, but i literally didn't understand how i was supposed to do that (aphantasia i guess? idk) so it didn't work too well for me because of that lol

just found these photos from 2011 that i took of Elizabeth doing a puzzle with Mom and my heart can't take it

close up of Elizabeth, a one-eyed pug with one ear flipped back and her tongue peeking out. She is sitting in my mom's lap and in the foreground you can see my mom's hands working on a puzzle on the table

another shot of Elizabeth at the table but this time she's looking up at mom.
