" That trial found a substantial gap: PSRAM code/data placement cut H.264 time from 236 ms to 103 ms per frame, and delivery reached the firmware’s 5 fps limit with AAC and Wi-Fi active. " Dang I hadn't realized how slower its flash is while running code. I now have a webcam with AAC audio! yay!

[While extracting as much juice out of a esp32-s3 as possible] I'm not sure how much time it would have taken me to notice the difference. Thanks shitbag! (I now name all my AI agents shitbag, collectively known as shitbags.) ((Only Muse was amused by learning its name.))

If you know software and know how to steer them, models are good at helping improving CI efficiency (up to the extent of github being github). a few tricks are less obvious, like leveraging Azure VM's temporary local disk more effectively.

I'm really excited for this release. While not enabled yet in the UI, it unblocks the same flow that Swarming uses on the Chromium CI. For those who understand how the Chromium CI or Bazel's Remote Build Execution API works, you'll understand. Join discord.com/invite/2ec7e...

finally released caic v0.12.0, nearly a month since last release. There's just too much to list! Frankly it's been great to use it as I improved it: good keyboard-first navigation, subagent and UX improvements, and a long tail of polish items. github.com/caic-xyz/cai... Docs: docs.caic.xyz

This is a hell of a big release. Features Native subagent activity from Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and Pi now renders as inline cards with foreground/background distinction, batch cards, paused...

via normal waitlist, got in within 3h. I need to play more with it. They did a good job. It's a nicely packaged simple system. I'm glad I designed genai to make it natural to support this kind of API.

- BCR is not just a registry of module declarations. It defines selective versions (not all, sometime old), and apply patches on them with "overlay". - Go proxy is closer to Certificate Transparency Log. - BCR contains 1249 modules. 5 years in, have it been popular, it should have more modules. 3/3

- Contrast go.sum and MODULE.bazel. The latter has way too much information. Less is better. - Go defers to the SCM to declare a version. One source of truth for versioning. - MODULE.bazel requires you to put it in the module(). A google3-ism. Version can drift/mismatch? 2/3

Preamble: bazel folks are very smart, and worked with constraints I wouldn't have tolerated myself. - While go.mod is human processable, it was designed for machine processing and is dead data. - MODULE.bazel is starlark and is not easy to process automatically. This has consequences. 1/3

my guts feeling is that we'll have a slightly longer dip, not as long as 2000s but still. we're likely nowhere the bottom yet. the problem with a lifestyle company is that it's almost no engineering, all sales.
