There’s a shortage of midwives, & after finishing their apprenticeships ONLY the NHS can employ them, but NHS Wales appears to say, not sorry about your £50K+ student loans, & you’ll have to find another career to pay it off Still enrolling midwifery apprenticeships? bsky.app/profile/mart...

#NHS trains midwives, then at end of #apprenticeship it tells them there aren’t any jobs Newly qualified midwives end up with £50K+ student loan Nobody else can employ a newly qualified #midwife NHS #Wales still offering university places for apprentice midwives? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I’m curious about the number or % of passwords or combination locks that might start with a zero I’d guess that most people wouldn’t start theirs with a leading 0

Has any research been published about the % for zero If the range was extend to include all 10 digits? O to 9 instead of just 1 to 9

It’s like learning to ride a bicycle, it’s hard to do for a while, gravity tries to defeat balance & velocity, then you do a short ride without falling off, but it’s not until you’ve ridden for many miles that you start to understand how to ride a bike / drive a car / etc safely 2/2 #ubi

Schools should teach us in a way that makes it interesting to understand the subject & retain the information, so we can double check online if we ever need to use it in the future Exams suit people that can parrot information back out, but they don’t need to understand what they’re writing 1/2

If everyone had a #UniversalBasicIncome the rich wouldn’t have the opportunities to exploit the workers & everyone could have the choice to buy whatever quality of craftsmanship they wanted because nobody could get rich from producing low quality unrecyclable polluting exploitative stuff #UBi

Good news Everyone has the right to peacefully protest, and cause reasonable disruption (not damage) in peace In a world of unregulated politicians allowed to cause massive disruptions without fear of the consequences Remember Life isn’t binary; there’s often more than 2 sides to every story #UBi

Q🧵2/2 Why aren’t the government taking the tax benefits away from the 1% of the population that are unemployed multimillionaires & using it instead to support the 99% of the population in full-time employment who are partially reliant on social security to survive healthily ? #ubi #WealthTax

Martyn Ford ~ pɹoℲ uʎʇɹɐW @martyn4d.bsky.social · 19/03/2025

A simple question? part 1 of 2 🧵 Given that 99% of multimillionaires worth over £25,000,000 are unemployed & that 99% of people in full time employment, working on national minimum wage, so earning less than £25,000 need state aid to survive #ubi #WealthTax

Very entertaining & informative “Honest Government Advert” Quickly shows why all governments should produce an “HGA” to explain how they only do things for the benefit of their citizens & explains no ulterior motives & exploiting nor harming citizens +links who is funding it/them #WorldPeace

There are 2 main things that I've learnt: The second was, to write things down before I forget why i want to remember them.
