There is one more weekend of Early Voting, and then Election Day will be here! Growing up, I had no voice and no voting power. Today, I am honored to not only vote, but also run for office. Every vote matters, and every voice deserves to be heard.

Protect election integrity—but don’t make it harder for eligible citizens to exercise one of our most fundamental rights. That is simply not acceptable. #VotingRights #Vote2026 #OaklandCounty #Martini4Senate

For them, proving eligibility could become more complicated, expensive, and time-consuming. No eligible American should lose the right to vote because of unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles.

Additional documentation requirements would disproportionately affect many eligible voters, including married women whose current legal name does not match the name on their birth certificate.

This is a solution in search of a problem that does not exist. Our elections already have safeguards in place. Voters present identification, and that identification is checked against the voter registration rolls to confirm they are eligible to vote. So why add more hurdles?

Eligible Americans should never lose their voice because they cannot easily produce documents they don’t already have. If you are interested in hearing the whole conversation, please check out the whole YouTube video here: youtu.be/aSezHpxR_vg?...

For millions of eligible voters, obtaining documents like a passport or birth certificate can take time, cost money, and create unnecessary obstacles. In a democracy, our goal should be to make it easier for every eligible citizen to vote—not harder.

Requiring a passport or birth certificate to vote creates yet another hurdle for eligible American citizens. As Scott Reilly points out, many Americans do not have a passport.

This campaign is my way of paying back a debt of gratitude to a country and a state that have given me everything. Lansing doesn't need more insiders, it needs real people willing to fight for real change.

I am not a career politician, and this isn’t a career move for me. I am going to Lansing for one reason: I care deeply about my community and the people who live here.

Please don’t ever take that right for granted. Around the world, people have sacrificed—and continue to sacrifice—their freedom and even their lives for the chance to choose their own leaders. Honor that privilege. Please vote on August 4th. Every vote matters.

The first time I cast a vote that truly counted was after I became an American citizen in my thirties. It is a moment I will never forget. Today, I am proud to be an American. I owe this country so much, especially the priceless right to vote and make my voice heard.

I grew up under a brutal dictatorship where voting was nothing more than a performance. The dictator always “won” with 99.99% of the vote—and he was the only name on the ballot.

One thing is certain: if people are afraid to leave their homes because they fear being wrongfully detained or separated from their families, they are certainly not risking felony charges to vote illegally.

Why are our children moving across the country, and across the globe, to build their futures? It is time to change the narrative. We need to create an environment where our kids don't just grow up here, but want to stay here, thrive here, and build their lives here.

The real impact of additional barriers falls on eligible voters: working parents trying to arrange childcare, people who can’t afford to take time off work, college students, seniors, people with disabilities, and others who are simply trying to exercise one of the most

Voting illegally is a serious crime that can result in felony charges. People are not risking those consequences to cast a single illegal vote.

I hear it all the time: “People should have to show an ID to vote.” What many don’t realize is that voters are already verified against voter registration rolls at their polling place, and when exceptions occur, they are governed by strict legal procedures.

I recently had the opportunity to speak with voting rights activist Scott Reilly. One thing became very clear: we continue to create barriers to voting based on the fear that non-citizens are casting ballots.
