I fail to understand why you don't support the Green Party, given their policies on public ownership, North Sea drilling, and wealth tax (among many others) compared to Burnham's stated position on these topics.

If West Ham are reinstated into the Prem, it seems only fair that the team that finished 3rd bottom in last season's Championship are reinstated and given West Ham's points as well.

I've heard the people of Malton prefer Shakespearian-style sonnets, while those from Bude are more into limericks. Glaswegians like theirs with a kiss.

By the same token, we need to build more homes close to centres of employment. The growth of out-of-town business and science parks creates loads of extra traffic as they're often inadequately served by public transport and contain huge car parks

A distinctive ‘tall bike’ has been stolen in Oxford. The bike, nicknamed Smiley, was taken from the Royal Mail sorting office. It has a multicoloured frame with a saddle 2 metres off the ground. If you spot it, please contact Pete, the postman with a dyed beard. www.instagram.com/p/DbyQsPlMspT/

Haven't read the comments but if no one's mentioned either of Van Der Graaf Generator's: The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other > H to He Who Am The Only One > Pawn Hearts; or: Godbluff > Still Life > World Record, then they need to hang their heads in shame.

Not to defend it, but it's possibly due to the lack of available legal stopping places where they can unload. It's something that should have been taken into account right at the start, otherwise vehicles parking illegally (which I totally disapprove of, btw) was inevitable

The Boris Oxford @martinezra.bsky.social · 02/08/2026
Ah yes, I can see how reading it as a verb makes sense, but it's very clumsily written given the dual meaning of "power"

The Boris Oxford @martinezra.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

As Europe braces itself for another heatwave Andy Burnham looks set to approve new oil and gas. Kemi Badenoch is purging the Tories of net zero supporters, while Reform councils are abandoning climate goals up and down the country. The UK urgently needs bold and ambitious climate leadership
