PKD: How Do You See the Invisible without Getting in the Way?
PKD often puts himself in his narratives as both the observer and the observed. In "Valis," he is both the author PKD and the character "Horse-lover Fat."

Desiring Otherness: Midnight Radio 4: Slow Machines
If that is all that magic is, it's pretty boring since the personal will is mostly prosaic, as Crowley proved by pursuing the ends of his will mostly by means of his enchanted penis.

Panic Attacks: Midnight Radio 3: Night Drive
Liminal spaces are all the rage right now! Well, there's nothing quite so liminal as a night drive with no particular place to go.

When nostalgia for the past is the promise of a return to a halcyon Eden when everything was in its right place, then it is the stuff of fascist regimes.

What Can CS Peirce Illuminate about Paul Ricoeur?
It may be helpful to map some Peircean semiotic concepts onto Ricoeur’s hermeneutics to see how they illuminate each other.

Paul Ricoeur's Hermeneutics: Shifting from Substance to Relation
Paul Ricoeur demonstrated the shift from knowing being as it is in-itself, or as it is essentially, in the sense of without relation to a knower, to uncovering being as a process of relational interpr...

Detroit Warehouse
Scott moved to Detroit where he discovered the Detroit warehouse party scene that I had been traveling to since 1991, especially for Richie Hawtin's Packard Plant parties.

When Isn't Nostalgia Poison? BOC: Inferno
Nostalgia is poison. So why do I like BOC so much? BOC's nostalgia isn't saccharine but complicated. When remembering is blocked by a nostalgic concept, the past becomes a projection of the rememberer...

Warehouse Party
I recently mixed again with my original equipment from way back when in the 90s at a warehouse party for old people hosted by my friend "Chicago Tommy" at his company's warehouse.

If your joints hurt, lift heavy. Squats and deads will keep you active and pain free well into your old age. Bullet proof your spine. Lifting heavy actually increases bone density and prevents osteoporosis. I’m 53 3X315

Look, I’m saying stuff about stuff, specifically the Francis Bacon at the Detroit Art Institute. I’m pointing out the point in the work at which the catastrophe begins. I’m with Scott Ellis, Charla Ferguson, Candy Chang, and jamesreeves.co took the picture.

Irreducible ambiguity is the sacred product of the death drive. Death drive is the alchemical principle that transforms the profane into the sacred by loving the profane. The love at the center of death drive is the love of the invaluable, or what cannot be valued or transacted.

Freud‘s death drive accords with Heidegger‘s Present-At-Hand intention because of their mutual lack of value, neither are useful nor transactable. Obtaining either is to get nothing, which was Lacan’s formulation of love as “giving what you don’t have to someone who doesn’t want it.”

The excess of Homo Economicus’s intentions are Homo Religiosus’s intention for the unintended, which is the sacred transcendence of the Freudian Death Drive because Homo Religiosus drives for what transcends Homo Economicus’s profane, instrumentalized, transactional intentions.

Irreducible ambiguity is both the horror and the bliss of what cannot be intended, but what has been given as intentional aboutness. The unintentional withdraws from instrumentalize aboutness but is present to “loving awareness,” because love is about the invaluable rather than the transactional.
