New focus & blur shaders in Ghostty enabled by my recent PR. I made a little "emulator" for them on my site where you can test them out. I've been absolutely nerd sniped by these lately. martinemde.com/blog/ghostty...

Here's a screenshot. It's fully customizable because it _is_ starship. Notice my context is about 20% full. Very useful at a glance.

"If use big words at it, it use big words at you." - @kewe.me
The meta-framework you're describing is epistemological modes of problem-solving or knowledge acquisition strategies. More specifically, you're analyzing the dialectic between:

Deductive/Analytical approaches (planning, theory-first)
Inductive/Empirical approaches (iteration, practice-first)

Here are some established frameworks that capture what you're discussing:

Thoroughly enjoyed @timriley.info's talk at XO Ruby. Thank you for making this available to us @jremsikjr.bsky.social. That was fun!

When I made MDPhlex I didn’t realize Rails 8.1 was adding native `to_markdown` convention. Make organized Markdown (like /llms.txt) generation easy with MDPhlex and Phlex components. github.com/martinemde/m...

Here's a silly subtraction service. The goal is to implement _just_ the protocol and then get out of the way. Credit to @ioquatix.bsky.social's `protocol-websocket` for inspiring the implementation. My goal was to follow this established protocol pattern and be a good citizen of protocol gems.
require 'protocol/jsonrpc'
require 'socket'

client_socket, server_socket = UNIXSocket.pair

# Create connections for both client and server
client = Protocol::Jsonrpc::Connection.new(Protocol::Jsonrpc::Framer.new(client_socket))
server = Protocol::Jsonrpc::Connection.new(Protocol::Jsonrpc::Framer.new(server_socket))

# Client sends a request
subtract = Protocol::Jsonrpc::Request.new(method: "subtract", params: [42, 23])
client.write(subtract)

# Server reads the request
message = server.read
response = message.reply do |message|
  puts "Server received request: #{message.method} with params: #{message.params}"
  if message.method == "subtract"
    message.params.first - message.params.last
  end
end

# Server sends the response
server.write(response)

# Client reads the response
response = client.read
puts "Client received response: #{response.result}"
