The CEPR RPN on Ageing and Longevity hosts an ongoing webinar series on The Economics of Longevity & Ageing, bringing together leading academics, central bankers, and policymakers to explore the economic and social challenges of demographic change.

Each webinar provides a forum for research and policy discussion on the implications of ageing populations for societies and economies worldwide. Sessions feature a 60-minute presentation by a distinguished researcher, followed by a moderated and interactive Q&A. The webinars are open to all, with recordings made available on the RPN website.

As part of this series, we are delighted to welcome Daron Acemoglu (MIT and CEPR), Nobel Laureate and one of the world’s leading economists, who will speak on:
“Baby Busts and Growth Booms: Demographic Change and the Macroeconomy”

Professor Acemoglu is an Institute Professor at MIT and co-author of the New York Times bestseller Why Nations Fail: Power, Prosperity, and Poverty. His work has shaped global thinking on economic growth, institutions, and inequality.

He will explore the far-reaching implications of demographic change for growth, institutions, and public policy.
