As a hobbyist musician, it's always been a dilemma whether to release music or not. Since my listenership is minimal and I'm never going to be rich and famous, I ask myself is this just a vanity project? The answer is no it is a creative release. Therefore, I will continue to put music online.

Some chap on YouTube explained AI by the way of analogy. Here's my own analogy. We thought we were getting Aladdin's lamp, but we got Pandora's box instead. AI has its merits, in areas like scientific research, but in my opinion there are a lot of unknowns when it comes to using it.

I got in shape for my cruise around Norway with a trip up The River Weaver on the restored steamboat The Daniel Adamson. It has a beautiful art deco interior and is ably run by a dedicated team of enthusiastic volunteers.

I attended a Lughnasadh/Lammas festival at my local brewery. The symbolism couldn't be more apt. Beer is made from grain (barley), and many of us also brought bread (wheat). I contributed a panzanella and a bottle of Lindisfarne mead. Everyone came together and all our spirits were lifted. 🌾🥖🍻

I just find it astounding that while the world is burning there are still idiots saying climate change is a hoax. Case in point one chap argued this because it contradicted what he learned at school. So an A level geography teacher knew better than all the world's best climate scientists. 🤥

When I first tried my in-ear monitors I was disappointed at how 'thin' they sounded. So I got to EQ tweaking. It was only afterwards that I tried pushing the earbuds more firmly in my lugholes. I thought my head was going to explode! Moral of the story, a simple solution is often the best.
